Sasha: With that steam he puts out, he can make our ODM gear useless! It won't connect!
Jean: You think I don't know that? I'm well aware, but we have to give it a try anyway. We can figure out his weakness as we fight!

They used the ODM and got away from Eren. Eren tackled his leg

The colossal lifted the leg that Eren was grabbing and then kicked him, sending him fly towards the top of the wall
