"Well, that was not at all natural." said Korra, while tying her dark brown hair into a high ponytail.
They were in Korra and Amelia's apartment. After working, Lauren would usually go to their apartment, but this was the first time Lauren went to their apartment ever since Jacob died.
Lauren just stared at the polished wooden floor. She was surprised at her actions herself. She was confused. She didn't know what was happening to her.
"Korra's right. You are usually the serious one who almost never does mistakes."
Lauren felt guilty. She had embarrassed her two best friends in public. She didn't want to face them. She didn't even know why she came here in the first place.
Amelia's expression suddenly changed, like she had just realised something. She whispered something to Korra's ear. Her eyes widen.
"How could I have forgotten!? I'm so sorry Lauren. I shouldn't have said those words back then. I can't believe I've forgotten that Ja--"
Amelia cut Korra off.
Let me handle this. Your straightforward attitude isn't really helping.
Korra pouted but kept quiet.
"Lauren, are you okay? You have been quite unstable lately. If you need help, just tell us. We'll help you in every way we can.
Lauren suddenly burst into tears. She literally grabbed Korra and Amelia and hugged them really tightly.
"I just....I miss Jacob so much....It's really hard to get over it.....he has been in my head the whole time......."
"Some day you will. I promise. We are here for you remember?" Amelia reassured Lauren, while patting her best friend's back.
Korra nodded her head in agreement. She wiped Lauren's tears and looked at her with her intense grey eyes.
"Lauren, you really should try to let it go."
