The CO2 breathers

Dr Katoki

Do you remember him?(I didn't.  I had to go check) Dr. Katoki, from when Mr. Onyo officially closed Project CO2 a month ago. Well he decided the project was NOT closed. He gathered a few others and they made a plan, to remake the potion. They had created something like it, but there was something else different. The potion they created had side effects. Pretty major ones. The ones who got some of the potion in their bodies one way or another, died in a few months. What Dr. Katoki didn't know, was that there were people who had the original in their bodies. They were taking in carbon dioxide without knowing.

"Damn it!" Katoki cursed and slammed his books down. "Why can't I recreate that stupid potion?! I'm muh smarter than that stupid Kawashita!" Katoki's eyebrows furrowed and he stood, going to the roof to get some fresh air. He walked up the stairs, sighing. 'What am I doing wrong?!' He looked over the railing of the roof, glaring at a bubbly red-head, walking together with a blue haired boy and a blonde girl. He was totally relaxed, laughing with his friends. "Bratty teenagers, tch" Katoki looked away from the eyesore and walked back to his office.

Tsukasa sat at the table, his head resting on his palm. He yawned and rubbed his eyes. "Isla! Are you done?" He shouted, getting up from his seat. "Tsu- tsukasa!" Tsukasa hurried to the toilet and said, "I'm coming in!" Isla looked up at Tsukasa with her wide green, with a bluish? tint. Tsukasa sighed and knelt down. Today was the school's anniversary and the student council had organized a party just a day before the holidays started, and they could dress up however they wanted. Isla had gotten a white and blue dress, with a red blazer over it. She was sitting in the middle of the toilet, her blazer on the wrong way. "I-i can't" Tsukasa sighed and rubbed his head. He gently pulled the blazer off Isla and put it on properly for her. She smiled sheepishly and rubbed her head. Tsukasa smiled back at her and picked up the red ribbon on the sink. He knelt down behind her and tied the ribbon in her hair.
"All done! Well let's go"

> At the school
Reina smiled at Kumiko as she looked around, every ten minutes adjusting her dress. She was wearing a pretty dress, a collar with a ribbon, the actual dress starting below her shoulderblades. The sleeves started at her forearms and ended just above her elbows. There were thin straps connecting into a pinafore like part, under the ribbon at her stomach, the pinafore like became maid-like. There were ruffles on both the skirt and the maid piece and she was wearing mismatching socks. The left one was under her knee while the under at mid thigh. The was a thin strip of ribbon around her left thigh and she wore white boots with blue laces.

Reina looked down at her dress, a simple white dress with flowing light blue ribbons. Her collar dipped down to her chest and a musical necklace hung at her throat. She wore greenish-white stockings and penny loafers. Simple, compared to Kumiko's. "Kumiko! Reina!" Reina looked back and smiled. She waved at Mika, who was dragging a grumpy Yuu behind him. Mika was wearing a white button up shirt with a green blazer, with long black pants and school shoes, pretty normal. Yuu was wearing a white shirt behind a black and green vest, with a black cape with green highlights. His pants were long and had a ring of green at the bottom. At his feet he wore black dress shoes.

Kumiko smiled at them and ran up. Yuu looked over and smiled slightly. "Your dress is nice, Kumiko!" Kumiko beamed and grabbed Reina's arm. "Thanks! My friend designed it! Come on Reina!" Reina nodded at Yuu and Mika and they Mika waved slightly, mouthing 'have fun'. Reina's eyes wandered to Kumiko's which had an excited gleam in them. They only had to be at the hall by 12, but they had arrived early.

Kumiko's skirt fluttered in the wind as she hummed a melody. "Kumiko" "Hmm?" Kumiko looked over and Reina wrapped her arms around her. "I just want you to know... no matter waht happens, I'll never leave you, ok?" Reina whispered quietly as Kumiko's eyes widened at both the words and actions. Kumiko stiffened under Reina's grip and Reina hugged her tighter. Kumiko's eyes softened and she returned the hug, burying her face in her hair, inhaling her scent.

"Now let's go, the others are probably waiting." Reina released Kumiko and she immediately felt cold. Reina took Kumiko's hand and gave it a little squeeze before smiling and walking towards the hall. Kumiko blushed as she recalled Reina's scent. They saw Eli, Nozomi, Ittoki and Tokiya and ran up to meet them. Eli and Nozomi wsre wearing kimonos, Eli's light blue with Koi fish, Nozomi's purple with cherry blossoms. Tokiya and Ittoki were wearing matching outfits, Tokiya's a white shirt and blue tie, with a white and blue jacket. The left arm had a cuff at the wrist with slight ruffles, the right a sea blue glove. He had long dark blue pants that reached to his ankles and black dress shoes. Ittoki's was the same, just red.

Together, they walked to the hall, talking while Tokiya and Reina trailed behind. The hall was decorated with streamers and balloons and two thirds of the school was already there, laughing, eating, playing games and talking. They quietened down as the president of the student council walked up on stage and cleared his throat. "Ahem. Welcome to the 22nd Asatomo (school name) anniversary party! Today we hav..." Ittoki spotted some candy apples and bugged Tokiya until he gave in. Isla looked around, staring at everything. Tsukasa scratched his head and smiled. "And now, ths party will begin!" Cheering filled the halls and everyone split into groups.

== I'm not really good at this soo... ==
" Ahhhh~ I'm stuffed!" Tokiya sighed and looked over at his friend, "We still have to meet up with the shorties Ittoki." Ittoki grumbled and went ahead. Eli giggled at her friends silliness as Nozomi bid her farewell. Mika yawned and looked over at Yuu, who was just staring at the houses blankly. " I wonder what Akane is cooking today~" "Maybe curry rice or something." Mika smiled, "Yuu always want curry rice Yuu-chan" Yuu flinched and lightly punched Mika's arm. " Keep quiet." Kumiko smiled and looked over at Reina. "Wanna sleepover?" Reina tilted her head cutely and smiled. She nodded and Kumiko cheered. "YAY! I just need to inform my mom 'kay?" Reina nodded and stared at the sunset.

Little did the group know someone was watching them. Who was it? And what did they want?
