Chapter #19: Wallace Cup: Lillie vs Harley!

After Mallow advances to the next round, and she's facing Dawn.

The May versus Nando contest has begun. May used her Venusaur, while Nando used his Roserade. Both of their Pokemon were equally intense, and Wallace amazed both of them in their performances. Suddenly, time reached zero, and May won by a margin of 5% against Nando. Back in the waiting area, everyone congratulated both Nando and May for their amazing battle. Nando wants to stay in Alola and explore to learn more about Alolan people and Pokemon, and he heads out after being eliminated. Lillie is now next against Harley, but May is warning Lillie about Harley, and Lillie is happy to give advice by May. Both Lillie and Harley entered the battlefield.

Harley: "Lillie, I hope you give me a wonderful battle, but I am going to win and face my arch rival, May."

Lillie: "I won't lose! Me and Snowy are giving what we have right now."

Harley: "Let's see, and you only got one pokemon. This will be easy."

Wicke: "Time for the next battle of the second stage! On my right, it's Harley! And on my left, it's Lillie!"

Harley are ready to grab his Pokeball to release their Pokemon.

Wicke: "You guys ready? We're set for five minutes. Let's go!"

Lillie: "Snowy, let's try to win this."

Snowy: "[Snowy squeaks]"

Harley: "Cacturne, let's have some fun!"

Cacturne is a humanoid, bipedal Pokémon that resembles a green scarecrow made of cacti. Its face has two eye holes through which yellow eyes can be seen, and six smaller holes representing a grinning mouth. It has numerous spikes along the length of its arms, legs, and around its neck. A pattern of green rhombi extends down the front of its body. There is a triangular, dark green feature on its head that resembles a hat with spiky tips appeared in battlefield.

May: "Harley is no joke, and she must be careful."

Serena: "I agree."

Zoey: "Do you mean Lillie and Snowy didn't experience any battling?"

Ash: "That's right."

Zoey: "I see."

Lusamine: "Go, Lillie! You can do it, and I believe you, daughter."

Lillie: "Ohh, mother, so embarrassing, please!"

Harley: "It looks like your mother is cheering for you, and how nicely isn't it. Carturne, use Bullet Seed."

Cacturne spits many glowing yellow seeds from the middle hole at its mouth at the Snowy at a high velocity but.

Lillie: "Dodge it, Snowy!"

Snowy dodges the Bullet Seed. Harley's score bar reduce to 5%.

Lillie: "Snowy, use Hail!"

Alolan Vulpix releases a gust of cold air from its body, causing hail to start falling. The hail hits all combatants that are not Ice type. Harley's score bar reduce to 10% due to Hail damage.

Snowy's Snow Cloak Activated! While it is hailing, a white mist forms around Snowy's body, allowing it to hide within it and make it more difficult for Cacturne to aim at it.

Harley: "What's going on?"

Wicke: "After Snowy dodged the Bullet Seed, Snow used Hail to summon Hail Storm and damage Cacturne, causing Harley's score bar to reduce by 10%, but that's not all! Snowy had been covered by a mist."

Wallace: "Why, that's just fabulous!"

Dawn: "What mist covered Snowy?"

Zoey: "I think that's a Snow Cloak Ability?"

Serena: "Snow Cloak?"

Zoey: "While it is hailing, a white mist forms and covered around Snowy's body, allowing it to hide within it and make it more difficult for its opponent to aim at it."

May: "I see."

Harley: "Cacturne, use the Energy Ball!"

Lillie: "Dodge it!"

Cacturne forms an orb of light green energy in between its hands while Snowy hide to its mist to covered itself. Cacturne fires it at the Snowy inside the miss but it vanish and Snowy on other side. Harley's score bar reduce to 5%.

Harley: "Darn!"

Lillie: "Snowy, Powder Snow!"

Snow breathes a gust of cold wind with small balls of snow at the Cacturne but.

Harley: "Dodge quick!"

Cacturne managed dodge the attack. Lillie's score bar reduce to 5%. Cacturne been damaged by Hail causing Harley's score bar reduce to 10%.

Harley: "This is not good!"

Wicke: "Both contestants are so impressive. Snowy managed to dodge the Energy Ball due to the mist, but Cacturne also dodged Power Snow, but due to the hail storm effect by Snowy, Harley's score bar reduce to 10%."

Clemont: "That's Snowy sure an advantage against grass types."

Max: "Yeah, but Harley looks like he has plans to come back."

Kiawe: "I think he might be, but Lillie and Snowy are determined to win this."

Harley: "I see, alright Cacturne, use the Energy Ball again!"

Lillie: "Dodge it again!"

Harley: "Cacturne now use Shadow Ball!"

Cacturne forms a ball of black and purple energy with black static around it. It then fires the ball at the opponent.

Lillie: "Use the Aurora Veil!"

While it is hailing, Snowy cries out, and its body becomes surrounded in a veil of rainbow-colored aura. While this move is in effect, Snowy will take reduced damage from enemy attacks. Cacturne fires the ball at the Snowy and managed to penetrate and Snowy been damage. Lillie's score bar reduce to 10%. Cacturne been damaged again by Hail causing Harley's score bar reduce to 10%.

Wicke: "Cacturne managed to hit Snowy with its Shadow Ball, but due to Aurora Vaill, which reduced damage from enemy attacks, Lillie's score bar was reduced to 10% instead of 15%."

Ash: "It looks like Harley will come back!"

Zoey: "Not really! Lillie has a score bar of 85%, while Harley has a score bar of 65%."

Dawn: "I agree because of Hail's move."

May: "I think I know who might win."

Serena: "Yeah."

The timer finally reached zero, and the round is over!

Wicke: "Look out! Time's up! The advancing coordinator to the Top #8, it's Lillie!"

Harley returned his Cacturne to its pokeball.

Harley: "Darn it! I have been lost by newcomer."

Harley walked away.

Lillie: "We did it Snowy!"

Snowy: "[Vulpix!]"

Hala: "What a great round, and such amazement!"

Lusamine: "Congratulations, my daughter. I am making sure we celebrate our home. I will make you dinner."

Lillie: "Mother, stop that! That is so embarrassing, please!"

Dawn: "I thought I only one to our mother trying cheering me."

May: "You are not the only one."

Serena: "I agree and same here."

Masked Man: "What a fighting spirit between you and Snowy! Keep it up, and you will reach your goal!"

Wallace: "Utterly glorious! Your Snowy's Hail move and Snow Cloak ability are such fabulous strategies! Lillie, congratulations, and you deserve to enter the next round."

Lillie: "Thank you, Wallace and such a honor."

Snowy: "[Vul!]"

Lillie and Snow arrived at the waiting area, and everyone started to congratulate Lillie.Ash: "Lillie, congratulations on your win against Harley."

Serena: "Yeah, you and Snowy have the perfect pair."

Lillie: "I could agree more."

Snowy: "[Vulpix!]"

Ash's Pikachu: "[Pika!]"

Dawn's Piplup: "[Piplup!]"

Snow started playing with Pikachu and Piplup.

Mallow: "You and I finally enter the next round."

Lana: "And I will make sure I enter the next round."

Solidad: "It's fine to have a dream, but it won't be easy for me."

Lana: "Yeah, but I will give it a shot."

Solidad: "Alright, I will wait."

Serena: "Ash, your next now."

Ash: "Your right! I will see you guys later, and Lillie, congratulations again"

Everyone: "Good luck, Ash."

May: "Lillie, good luck in our fight tomorrow."

Lillie: "Same to you, May."

Solidad: "After Ash's contest battle, we next have Lana, and let's have a good time in the contest battle."

Lana: "I am always ready, whenever you are."

Solidad: "That's a spirit girl."

Ash is now in battle against Tommy. Lana and Solidad were also ready to face each other for entering the Top #8 spot in the Wallace Cup.
