"Oh my god, oh my god! We're so close to the front of the line!"

I didn't get it, I just didn't.
But, my best friend who was practically hyperventilating, loved this band, had wanted to meet them since maybe forever, and of course, being the supportive friend, I had to get dragged along.

I'd paid for a VIP ticket that would get me backstage, to meet this band with her, a band I didn't necessarily have the same interest in.

Sure, they were good.
They were really good, I enjoyed their music.

And really famous.

Five kids from Hawkins, who got their big break.
The lead vocalist, being the forefront of every girls mind and their desires.

He was a sex symbol, apparently.
He was a rockstar, and a damn good one.

"Okay. I need you to just calm down." I said, as her teeth chattered together.

"Are you cold?" I asked, as she shook her head.

"Nope, just really excited. This is like, a dream come true, Taylor." She said.

"Okay, you're ladies, you're next." Security said, as he ushered us through.

"The table on the far wall." He added.

I could barely keep up with her, as she practically ran down the corridor.

But down here, the screams faded and that was a weight lifting relief.

By the time I caught up with her, she was already eagerly talking to them all, rambling loudly.

"Hey. I'm her translator." I said, their eyes all turning to me.

"Glad you could be here." One said.

"So, what did she say?" Another asked, amused.

"I can summarise. She's very excited to meet you, loves your music, loves all of you. It's her dream to meet you, and this is the best day of her life." I said.

"And you?" The lead singer asked, with a smirk.

"Just the translator." I said, with a shrug.

"Wait, so you paid to get back here for a photo and an autograph, so your friend could meet us and achieve her dream?" He asked.

"Pretty much. Think she needed some moral support to go through with it." I said, with a weak smile.

"That's really awesome." He said.

I gripped my best friend's shoulder, and she turned to me.

"You think you can act normal now, Kylie?" I asked her.

"Uh, yeah." She said, completely dazed.

"Next ones are on their way." Security said, as the lead singer held his hand up.

"Hold them back a sec." He said.

"But we gotta keep the line going, Ed." Security said, sounding torn.

"And we will. But for now, hold the next one's back." He said.

"Alright then Kylie, what do you want signing?" He asked her, with a nice smile.

"Do you have anything?" One asked me.

"This is her dream." I said, politely.

And one by one, they introduced themselves to me.

Jeff, Gareth, Grant, Freak, and Eddie.

Eddie, was Kylie's favourite.

And based on his current kindness, my first impression of him, was pretty good.
