Straight 'A' Student

Chapter 26

"Baby" Connor said moving his hand against Summer's back to wake her up as she laid on his chest.

"Hm?"

"It's time to get up. We've gotta leave here soon so I can leave with your dad".

"You know you don't have to go with him?" She laughed a little looking up at him.

"I know, but I want to. Besides, I kind of having a feeling it was more of a suggestion than a question".

"Okay".

"Wanna grab food?"

"I'll eat breakfast at my parents, but we can stop for you. Or ask my father".

"I'll grab something on our way out".

"Great, come on" Summer said then rolled out of bed and he followed her to the bathroom. They showered and got dressed. Summer put on a pair of white jeans and a white and orange cropped cardigan. She grabbed a white coach purse and put her hair in an orange claw clip before finishing it off with some jewelry

Connor wore a pair of black slacks and burgundy short sleeve polo. His tattoos and his body showed perfectly. My lord, this man, she thought as she looked at him. He put on his watch and bracelets then grabbed a jacket so they could go.

"Hey, good morning" Susanna said as they walked into the living room.

"Good morning. Dad's still here right?"

"He's still getting ready. You look very nice, Connor".

"Thank you".

"Did you guys eat breakfast?" Summer asked.

"No, everyone else is still sleeping. Or they at least haven't came down. I'll cook and I'll tell Spencer to get food for you two because he doesn't do well without breakfast" Susanna laughed a bit before Spencer joined them.

"Good morning" he said kissing Summer on the side of her head then kissing Susanna.

"Morning dad".

"Ready to go?"

"Yea" Connor nodded.

"Baby, stop and get breakfast, you're both gonna need to eat" Susanna reminded him.

"Of course, I'll order us breakfast to the site. I told my parents they could take a car out today if they wanted, so just letting you know. If you want to shack them all up together and get everyone out the house that will be fine too. I know having your mom hovering around while you cook won't be ideal" he said to Susanna.

"You're not wrong, I'll probably do that. I guess just our parents. Something tells me Nancy and Maurice will be here early for dinner".

"Alright, let me know, we've gotta go. Love you".

"Love you too" Susanna said before they headed out, Connor kissed Summer quickly before they did.

"Can I ask you a sort of personal question?" Spencer asked as they started driving across town to the construction site. 

"Sure".

"How is your financial situation?"

"I'd say it's pretty good".

"Credit score?"

"Um a 815 last I checked, that was the beginning of the year".

"Mhm, you save a lot?"

"I do".

"Is rent high?"

"Almost 7800 for everything".
