Straight 'A' Student

Chapter 29

Summer and Connor had been in Philadelphia for one day. They flew in, got breakfast, and just decided to spend the day alone. After all, Connor would be busy with Spencer and the company all week and still dealing with some work back home. Luckily, he took some time off from the college so he didn't have to deal with any of that this trip.

"What time is it?" Connor groaned as he opened his eyes and his hands went to Summer's waist as she sat on top of him.

"7:43. I fell asleep on you before you talked with my dad, what's the plan for today?"

"I'm gonna meet him at the house. He said we can figure out most of it there and I'll go in tomorrow".

"Perfect. Tomorrow my mom and I are going out probably, getting breakfast and whatever else. That way I can kill time".

"Alright, angel".

"Also, good and bad news".

"Tell me" he smiled moving his hands up her sides and pulling her closer to him.

"Bad news, I did not get the job at the first place".

"Their loss".

"Of course".

"And good news?"

"I got an interview for the computer analyst department for Shell LLC" she said excitedly. Connor smiled with her and turned them over, Summer now on her back as she giggled.

"Did you really?"

"Yup, got the email fifteen minutes ago".

"Holy shit, baby, you're incredible".

"I know" she giggled as he kissed her neck "I set the interview for two days after we get home".

"Perfect, I'll take the two days to catch up on work then we'll go out to celebrate after".

"Connor, we don't have to celebrate after every interview".

"Too bad, I make the rules. And when you get this job, we'll celebrate again".

"If. Apparently most places want you to have experience to get experience".

"I was turned down by six jobs before I got the job I have now, angel. You're much smarter than me. You will get this job".

"Thank you, babe".

"You're welcome" he kissed her a few times "we should get ready, can't be late on my first day".

"Nope and my father isn't very forgiving. Come on" she laughed before they got up.

"Come in" Spencer said quickly, opening the door while he spoke on the phone "give me a second".

"Where's your mom?" Connor asked.

"Court".

"Oh okay. Oh I forgot to tell you, Josh called, he wants to go to Hawaii for Eleanor's birthday in the summer. Wanted to know if you'd like to come".

"Sounds fun, sure. You're going?"

"If you want, yea".

"He's planning already, how nice of him".

"Hey, I plan early".

"I never said you didn't, baby" Summer laughed "I just said it was nice".

"Hey, sorry about that" Spencer said, joining them.
