"Where are we heading again?"

"...How did you manage to become part of the mafia?"

You looked down at the little boy beside you, following you like some dog. Or rather puppy.

"Ha! You didn't think I could do that, did you?", he exclaimed proudly, a big grin spreading on his face. Just rolling your eyes, you increased your pace of walking, making it harder for the boy to follow you.

"Hey, wait! You're supposed to teach me!", he yelled, pointing at you accusingly.

"Oh don't remind me", you groaned, leaning your head back in your neck.

"So tell me, where are we heading?"

"Didn't you listen when the Boss explained it?", you queried, looking down at him again. You still wondered how it was possible for someone to have eyes this green.

"I was nervous, okay?", he muttered, scratching the back of his neck. Sighing, you shook your head in annoyance. Just when the Boss freed you from being the mentee of Akutagawa, he immediatly burdened you with this little shit.

"Fine then, listen closely now, kid-"

"Naoji!"

"Huh?"

"Edogawa Naoji. That's my name", he repeated, looking at you intently.

"Yeah, whatever. Just pay attention now. The Boss got information that an executive has a ship that he uses as a secret base and we are supposed to investigate if that's true."

"Oh okay. And how do we do that?", he asked, tilting his head slightly sideways.

"Well, luckily the hardest part got done for us. There was already someone who made out a ship that could be this secret base. All we have to do is to check out said ship, find out if the Boss' suspicioun is true and report back to him. Not that difficult, really", you explained before stopping in front of a giant ship, resting at the port.

"And here we are. Now stay close to me."

The ship was guarded by some Port Mafia members like Mori had ordered. They let you through without a word.

Stepping on deck, you looked around the place. At first glance it seemed like an ordinary ship. Only that it was too quiet.

"There is no living being on this ship", you heard Naoji say from behind you.

"Well, almost no living being", he added as he looked at the seagull sitting on a barrel.

"Then let's go prove your thesis", you muttered, starting to search a way under deck. But as soon as you entered the first hallway, you were hit by the immense stench of death. Corpses were laying around everywhere.

"Ew, disgusting", Naoji exclaimed, holding his hand in front of his nose.

"That's daily business in the mafia. If you leave now, you still have the chance to get out of this unharmed", you told him casually, stuffing your hands into the pockets of your dresspants.

"Nuh uh. No way! You need more than a few dead bodies to scare me off", he protested.

Maybe that kid wasn't all that misplaced in the Port Mafia. But you would never say that out loud.

The farther you make it into the ship, the eerier it got. Soon you come across a safe. It was wide open and empty.

"Something got taken out of this", you pointed out.

"Well, obviously. Who would leave a safe open like that?", Naoji replied. Then he tugged at your sleeve and motioned towards an open door. It was made out of heavy metal and really thick.
