----

Dad motioned for me to walk towards him, so I did.

Then we started to walk a little far from them before stopping.

"Did I do something wrong?"

"No, you didn't. It's just... Why did you never tell me you knew how to sing and play the guitar?"

"I wasn't trying to keep it away from you. No one knew I could play the guitar except for Uncle Mic and Jiro. Uncle Mic taught me to sing and how to play the guitar when we would be alone when you would go to work at night."

"But why didn't you tell me? Did you think I was going to get mad at you?"

"Well, it was when my depression was really bad, so I didn't want to disappoint you if I was really horrible." I said, rubbing my neck.

"You could never disappoint me, Mai. You're my daughter and I will always love you."

"I'll always love you too, dad."

I gave him a hug and he did the same. After a while, I was the first to let go.

"We should get back. It's getting too late for Eri." I said, wiping my eyes.

"Okay. Also, I don't need to expel Midoriya, right? He's treating you well?"

"Yes, dad. He's doing amazing." I chuckled.

"Okay. If he hurts you, I'll kill him and then expel him."

"Whatever you say."

It was now night and Zuku and I were in his room.

Zuku was at his desk and I was on his bed, cuddling his All Might plush.

"So are we not going to talk about that whole situation that happened?" I asked.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Mai." Zuku replied, turning over in his chair to face me.

"Yes, you do."

He let out a sigh before standing up and moving towards the bed.

I sat up and crossed my legs, still holding onto the plush.

"I don't know what really happened. I got this feeling something was wrong, so I looked over at you and saw you talking with a stranger. I walked closer to you and heard everything he was saying. Then... I got jealous because I thought you would leave me to go with him."

"Why would you think that? Do you not trust me?"

"No! Of course I trust you. It was him who I didn't trust. Something about him felt off."

"Well, you don't have to worry. I already forgot his name. And I threw away the paper with his number. You don't have to get jealous of anyone. Because I'm with you. And I'll never leave you."

"I'll never leave--" I cut him off.

"But if you cheat on me, I'll do worse than breaking up with you. Trust me."
