We turned on the TV and just flipped through the channels.
Until, we landed on a news channel that was live.
It was a fight. As we watched longer, we saw it was a fight between a Nomu, Hawks, and... Endeavor.
I gasped and put my hand over my mouth as I saw Endeavor.
I quickly got up in shock.
Endeavor looked very tired and hurt. He was bleeding from his head.
"There's no symbol... This is what it looks like when people have no hope." The reporter said.
She was showing us how everyone was crowding around and hurting one another to get out of the way.
They...were a mess.
I quickly walked over to Toki and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"It's going to be okay." I whispered to him.
His arm went under my arm and touched my shoulder, but he was mostly frozen.
"You've gotta be kidding." Toki sia.d
"It's chaos. Sheer panic."
"Todoroki. So, you know, then?" Dad said as he walked over to us.
I let go of our hug but kept my arm on his shoulder for support and comfort.
I could feel his hand gripping onto the hem of my sleeve.
"It's bad." Sero said.
"Don't just say whatever you want!" We heard from the TV. Everyone turned to look at it.
"What, you think scaring people makes for good TV?" A boy with pink hair said to the camera.
"Okay, you gotta chill, dude." His friend said, trying to pull him back.
"Look over there! His flames are still burning! See?" The pink haired boy said, ignoring his friend.
"You know what that means. Endeavor's still alive and fighting for us! Don't say there's no symbol just 'cause All Might's not here!" He continued.
"You're losing it, man! We need to run! Let's hurry and get out of here!" His friend said.
"Do you know what he's doing right now? Endeavor's risking his life for our sakes. Look at him!"
The camera pointed at Endeavor and the Nomus fighting in the air as best as it could.
We couldn't really see what was happening until,
"It's... It's Endeavor! He's still going! Even as he suffers and struggles...he's fighting!" The reporter said.
"I'm watching you!" Toki said.
I started to rub his shoulder hoping it would give him more comfort and letting him know that I'm always here for him.
I honestly couldn't stop my eyes from getting teary. But I had to keep them in for Shoto's sake.
