critically ranking bfdi episodes

bfdi 7 - retirement home entertainment.

yeah no beating around the bush here, bfdi 7 is defintley one of the most hated episodes of bfdi and i'm not surprised.

just looking at the run time of 6 minutes, you already know its going to a be a bad episode.

isnt this a weird pattern like bfdi 2- good bfdi 3 - bad ,bfdi 4 - pretty good bfdi 5 - bad bfdi 6 - great bfdi 7 - worse

honestly i've seen people say bfdi is the holy grail of object shows and it all goes down from here but if this is the golden standard, you guys must have low expectations

ok yeah im stalling, i really do not like this episode at all, i thought it was very boring but you know what lets just review it.

the opening starts out with the characters showing off their basketball skills by holding balls.

its not funny in any way, doesn't really service the plot forward and just feels like a waste of time, which is honestly this entire episode.

cake at stake starts with another reused cake, key lime pie. its not a negative that they reused the sprite, its just feels kinda lazy and with an already short episode it feels like a slap in the face.

anyways tangent aside, needy is eliminated, honestly dont really care. needy was a one hit wonder if her whole gag about slapping, which i think no one really found funny and im glad they dropped it because wow was it annoying.

also theres a joke about coiny and awkward silence, i wouldnt talk about this, if it wasnt for the fact, i used to have a friend who constantly reused this joke to the point where talking became a chore and hey so is this episode, can you see im stalling is it working?

the episode finally starts half way through the six minute run time with the announcer locking them in a room and making them do puzzles?

im sorry, am i five or ninety? puzzles are atleast some fun doing them, but watching other people do it is so boring im sorry.

its kind of the same with bfdi 3, in the sense that they are two boring challenges but atleast this one ended in a half a minute.

also an advertisement happens in the middle of this however has a weird vhs type overlay over it with also weird voice acting from yellow face.

it feels very weird and while it was probably the goal of the ad to just be weird,  which it succeded, doesnt mean its good.

i mean its fine, its not all bad the whole gimmick of them selling something that turns you into bubble and then them popping before they could a bad review is fine, nothing really great but nothing really bad just a fine ad in the middle of a pretty bad episode.

yep the grapes finish in half a minute and pick firey to change sides

oh yeah forgot to mention the tlc is too small to add anyone so the winners get to choose a person to go onto the other side.

honestly this episode is so forgettable, its main gimmick is just annoying, like why am i watching an episode so i know the fact that someone changed sides? wow

the reason the cherries didnt finish is because the puzzle was upside down, uh i could say this is dumb but this pretty much checks out with the intelligence we've seen from these characters.

and the episode ends, pretty short

probably the worst episode we've seen by far so lets checklist everything its done wrong.

- short runtime - short runtime makes it so you have so little time to actually do the challenge, maybe if your challenge is short but still that leads into another problem.

- short runtime also makes it so you cant really flesh out your characters more which youd want in a show where viewers vote.

- unnecessary cold open - if you really have no ideas to make a cold open, just move onto the voting process, no need to lose time

- repeating jokes - cherries and puzzles and needles entire character in bfdi, but this episodes really says the joke so many times. like if it didnt get a laugh out of me the first time, showing them all again surely won't make me laugh.

- boring/short challenge - since your challenge is what hooks people in and aswell what a majority of people are going to stick around to watch, it should be as interesting and original as possible, defintley not a written test or
puzzles jesus., short challenges just make the episode feel unnecessary as a whole.

uh yeah pretty much only episode i'd reccomend to highly avoid, no memorable bits, no cool challenge, only thing you really need from this episode is that firey changes sides and that needy is elimanted lol
