critically ranking bfdi episodes

bfdi 23 - the real penultimate episode

bfdi 23 is what most consider the real penultimate episode of bfdi with bfdi 24 being basically a filler episode just to announce the eliminated person of this episode. 

and yeah im of the same opinion, this episode overall just feels like a collection of all the past episodes but ill dwell on that laterrr.

but yeah bfdi 23 has pretty much no gimmick, there's nothing different about this episode other than the fact that its the last challenge. 

i mean i guess they are all metal at the start but it doesnt carry on to even cake at stake.

but im getting ahead of myself, so lets just start the episode.

the episode starts out with the contestants like i said being metal, firey speaker box wants to fix the TLC however the contestants dont want to so flower throws a bowling ball which he avoids which then hits flowers own speaker box.

the tlc needs metal to be repaired as even ice cube escaped from it so the contestants have to make themselves alloy. 

firey speaker box repairs the TLC and we're off to cake at stake.

the announcer recovery center arrives killing bubble, announcer takes his place as the rightful host however is followed by his clones and a cheese orb. 

the cheese orb is used as cake making announcers kill count in this episode alone rise to 2.

and in a landslide loss spongy gets over 400 votes and im just surprised spongy got 5th. honestly pretty impressive seeing as he was a rejoin and the fact he wasnt and still isnt that well liked in the community.

the announcer announces the final challenge being all the previous challenges and it just got me thinking how were just three chapters away from the end and one of them is just a ranking of the episodes. 

its definitely been a journey rewatching bfdi and i think this episodes biggest quality is that it rewards you for watching and tuning in on the series. 

like they bring back all the challenges, well not that good really but they sprinkle in little references like maroon balls and such. its really the little details that made bfdi such a great beginning to the osc and how it will probably never be replicated. 

we start the challenge and weirdly the first three challenges aka bfdi 1a-bfdi 2 are the hardest for our contestants as here we spend the most time.

its obvious that if this were done in modern times, i would have probably no doubts that like each section of five episodes of bfdi would have this kind of treatment but alas this was only done in a month by two pre teens. 

this section is just really long and a pretty big pace breaker honestly, it feels like time wasted for example firey dies so leafy waits and the whole episode comes to a halt.

after this we get leafy and bubble and then just bubble completing all the challenges, and its pretty cool with all the references like i said before. 

we arrive to our final mini challenge the volcano, where here we get our 'finisher' to bubble and leafy arc which was stopped in the middle of the series.

here we get the revelation or atleast leafys revelation that bubble doesnt want or need leafys help and also that bubble helped flower and is now her 'friend'.

i honestly like this finisher and how leafy cant just be nice all the time, its also cool bubble being a mostly static character finally actually do something and be rewarded with immunity into the finale.

so yeah all in all, a very badly paced but just really good episode.

i cant give this one a bad rating i mean cmon its bfdi 23, the penultimate episode.
