The gentle light pouring in from the windows behind the bed alerted Will of the break of dawn. His eyes fluttered open softly, and he took a deep breath in, attempting not to sneeze when feathery hair brushed against his nose.

"Your highness, it's time to wake up," He spoke softly into the mess of hair below him, gently shaking the man's shoulders.

The prince let out an annoyed groan but stayed still, curled up against Will's chest. When they had gotten back from the funeral the night before, the Prince was silent, moving around in a fugue state that slightly worried him. So to combat that issue, Will had sat them both down on the bed and let the prince simply be. Eventually, they must have fallen asleep together, explained by the weight that now kept Will anchored to the bed.

"Nico," he whispered again earning him a groan. The raven-haired man moved his head slightly so that Will could see his face, but his eyes were still glued shut with sleep.

"Neeks, I know you're awake., The nickname did it's job, the prince's eyes shooting open into a sleep-bleared glare.

"Don't call me that," he grumbled, voice roughed up from sleep.

"Oh, whatever. You have to get up, so that was the only way," he made a move to get up, but the Prince nestled in even more.

"Five more minutes."

"Nico-"

"Please?"

The prince was now looking up at him with puppy dog eyes which were doing their very best to melt Will into agreement. But another look out the window reminded him that the hour was getting later.

With a groan he pushed Nico off of his chest. "Nope, you have to get up."

"Why?"

"Nico, you're getting coronated today."

The prince looked at him with a mixture of exasperation and slight sadness. "Thank you for the eye-opening reminder, William."

"I'm just saying," Will shuffled to the edge of the bed to prevent further immobilizing by the prince, "You have big things to look forward to today, and I promise you that you will end up sleeping once again tonight."

"Why not now?" The prince reached for him, flopping dramatically over to try to close the distance and drag Will back.

"Because, you cannot get coronated if you are asleep. So wake up, or else I'm getting Percy to dump a whole bucket of iced water on you."

With another grumble, the Prince sat up, wiping the sleep from his eyes before casting a disdainful look at Will. "I really hate that you are close with Percy now, it makes my life a lot harder."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. You should be happy that I have put up with your protests for this long. Now, I'm leaving so that you actually get ready."

"Oh however will I get anything done without you?" The prince mused sarcastically, not making a move anymore to stop him. Instead, the man had busied himself with slowly easing himself out of bed. The night shirt that he was wearing crept up when he raised his arms into a stretch, exposing the smallest line of skin above his trousers. He cast a glance back at Will who was frozen in his place, cocking his eyebrow at him.

"Will."

"Hm?" Will did not move his eyes from where they were fixed.

"You're staring."

"Oh."

The prince let out a soft snort of laughter before walking around the bed to the side that Will was still sitting on. He stood in front of Will, hands on his hips as though expecting something.
