"So why did you get thrown in here?" Kai asks behind me. "I mean, now you know why I'm here. Now it's your turn to tell," I put the newspaper down.

"I massacred my school. No big deal," I walk out of the house with Kai following.

"Why? How'd you do it?" He asks.

"Well, the why is easy. My family made me go to a different school than my brother because I was a monster. And they told the school that I was delusional. So everyone treated me like a porcelain doll. Whispers about the crazy girl got around pretty quick. Pretty soon no one would talk to me, or even look at me. One day something snapped. And I used the magic I had to crash the school. I hunted down every single one of the students and teachers. It was fun, for a while. Until I realized that none of them would go home to a family. None would ever have a family of their own. My father found me as I was grieving and sent me here," I grab a bottle of tequila.

"Why do you care about them? Sounds like they treated you awfully," he takes the bottle from me.

"I don't know, Kai. That's what bothers me. I don't know why I care." I try to take the bottle away from him but his grip is viselike. "Give me the tequila, Kai," I try to loosen his grip on the bottle.

He opens the bottle and takes a swig. "Don't worry about them," he mutters.

"What I'm worried about is my bottle of tequila. Hand it over. It's the last one," he smirks and leaves the last drink for me. "Thanks," I say dryly.
