After dinner and saying bye to the moms and Gabe, we got settled in the car. Jeremiah driving, Steven in the passenger seat, me in the middle, Conrad on my left and Belly on my right. We rode with music blasting and windows down. It was really fun, as if we never left cousins. Once we got there we all went our separate ways, me sticking with Belly. "Yo gas station girl" some random guy called out to my friend. "What the fuck, whos this guy?" asked her confused "Some guy who works at the gas station. He invited me tonight" she whispered to me. He came up to us with two beers in his hand. "Who's this?" He asked Belly looking towards me. "This is my best friend, she's like a sister to me," she told him. "Oh, well hi," he said towards me. I just gave him an awkward smile, I don't like this guy already. "Do you guys want a beer" he offered us the two bottles he was holding. "No. Thank you" I said immediately. I desperately wanted to walk away from him but I couldn't leave belly. "Yo who the fuck is this" I looked at where the voice was coming from, it was Steven. "Who the fuck are you," the guy asked "Im their brother and she's fifteen you pedo" Steven shot back, he seemed really mad. I saw the guy walk away. Good, I thought. "Steven what the hell!" Belly yelled. I didn't know why she was so upset because she didn't seem to like that guy very much. "What the hell are you doing talking to him" he yelled at her, "What the hell are you doing telling me who to talk to" she said back. They started screaming. This was embarrassing. "I knew we should've left you home" Steven told her "Steven just leave it, it's ok" I told him "Steven let's just go" the girl beside him told him. I didn't even realize she was there till now. She's really pretty. "Fuck You!" Belly yelled out to Steven flipping him off and I chuckled just glad the whole thing was over. I must have spoken too soon because the next thing I know, belly trips over someone's feet and ends up dragging me down with her. We were embarrassed but we kind of laughed it off. Until I looked up in front of me and see a dreadful sight. Conrad was fully making out with some girl. My conrad. We made eye contact and he looked guilty but also as if he didn't give a shit. Then I looked over at the girl and studied everything about her. She was pretty. It hurt. "I thought you hated the red Sox" I told Conrad regarding the girl's hat. "I'm sorry who are you," she asked me with attitude "I'm Johanna, who are you?" I said with the same amount of attitude and a bit of hurt "I'm Nicole. Conrad and I went to the deb ball together last year." she said matter of factly "It was after you guys left to go look at colleges," Conrad added "I thought you said debs were sheep and the whole deb scene is bullshit." I said trying to hold back tears. Nicole looked at him kind of hurt. Good. "Quit being a brat!" "Stop being an asshole!" we both said to each other until Belly pulled me away, "Come on Jo," she said and we walked away. "I'm so sorry Jo" She must know how much this is killing me "I need a drink," I told her walking towards the drink table.

now that I think about it chapter 4 and 5 could have been combined to make a longer chapter..
