Me, Belly, Susannah, and Laurel, were all walking to the shops. My mom insisted on staying home with Gabe. Saying they haven't had a lot of mother-son time lately. I was hurt but I was used to it, at least I had my other two moms here. First, we went shopping for dresses for the tea. We both got a few. Next, we went to look at these weird hats Susannah said were called fascinators. They sure were fascinating to look at I guess. As we were walking to the next store I got a text from an unknown number
Unknown: hey it's Asher
Unknown: from the bonfire last night
Joannah: oh hey! How are you
Asher: I'm good. I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go out later
Asher: like on a date
Joannah: sure I would love too
I actually did really like Asher. He was cute and funny and super chill but also respectful. He could be my chance at getting over Conrad. "Who's that," Belly asks looking over my shoulders "Asher," I say "Ooo who's Asher?" Susannah says and I start blushing. "He's some guy I met last night at the bonfire" I say "Not just some guy" Belly says "he's Cam's best friend and he's super sweet and kind" she goes on. I'm red by this point. "Well, who could deny my beautiful girls" Laurel said holding me and Belly's hand. This made my heart ache, having this mother-daughter experience but not having it with my actual mother because she decided I was too much to handle. After a bit more walking and talking we made it to the shop where we would get our dresses. Belly and I tried on many dresses to the point where it felt like we tried every dress in the store. Belly had found her dress a couple of dresses ago. "That's the one" Susannah gasped loudly when she walked out in it. It was simple, very belly. "You look beautiful belly button" I told her "You really do honey," her mom told her. Minutes later I put on a dress and I immediately fall in love with it. It's beautiful and elegant. I walk out to show the others. "Oh my," "It's perfect" "You look stunning Jo," they all say. This is the one.
