(Skylar's POV)

Okay am I crazy or did he actually just say that? Keep it cool Skylar... Keep it cool. I just laugh, turning around to face him.

"You wish" I admit, it's stupid, but it makes it look like I'm playing and it's nothing out of the ordinary. He returns my smug smile and motions for me to sit on the bed. I grab the rest of the work I brought out of the bag and hand it to him. "Okay. So you didn't miss too much in Biology, just have to work on the volcano... Language arts, you'll survive, oh but you have to read The Fault In Our Stars for a project." I tell him, giving him a copy of the book. He raises an eyebrow at it, flipping a few pages, and with a sigh, closes it shut. "Then History shouldn't be too hard to catch up on, however we have a semester exam right before winter break. The real problem is Geometry, I'm not on your level of math but I took geometry last year if you need some help... but you have a lot of missing work and tests coming up... including another final exam which counts as 47% of your final grade this semester." I finish, I take a deep breath, waiting for his response. He shrugs but I can see the hatred for it all in his eyes. He grabs the coke I brought and pops it open, taking a sip.

"Okay. Thanks Skylar... I have one favor if you don't mind." He asks, I nod and he hands me a small piece of paper, with writing on it. "I just need a few things from the store if you don't mind... You can get some money from my grandma.. She should be in the activities room with my brothers." He explains. I nod getting up and grabbing my bag, I usually stay longer but it looks like I should leave him alone. As I pack up, he grabs the book from the bedside table where he left it. When I finally have my things together to leave, he's already fast asleep with the book on his chest. I mean I know it's boring but did it really put him to sleep?? I open the door and quietly walk out, asking for directions from a nurse. She leads me down the hallway and into a large room with windows with the sun shining through. I spot Jeffrey's grandmother in the corner reading a book, besides her, two boys are both playing on their phones. I've heard about Jeffrey's brothers before, they're popular but not as popular as Jeffrey of course. DePaul, being a Senior, is Jeffrey's older and oldest brother. He doesn't talk much but from what I hear he's the average player, getting any girl he lays his eyes on. On the other hand, Ronan, his youngest brother, is quiet and adorable. He's in 6th grade, but is definitely more advanced than any of the kids in his grade. There was a rumor going around that Ronan was actually smarter than DePaul, I personally wouldn't have any trouble believing it. I mean Ronan is definitely cuter than DePaul so... yikes.

"Hello." I greet his grandmother, although the other boys' attention is caught as well.

"Oh you're the girl my son has been hooking up with? What is it... umm.. Julian?" She asks, DePaul snickers and Ronan shoots him a glare then rolling his eyes. Ronan is literally a smaller version of Jeffrey. Does that mean I called Jeffrey cute?

"Um no m'am. That would be his girlfriend, Julia. I'm just here to help him with his school work." I justify, she looks deep into my eyes, thinking of what to say.

"Let me guess, his Sex Ed class? I heard they give homework now. At least that's what Jeffrey says when Julian is over." She argues, raising an eyebrow.

"No No No... Just school. English. Biology. History. Geometry. Nothing more. He just asked me to get him a few things from the store and told me to ask you for money." I explain, I feel awkward asking someone's guardian for money, but I am not paying for Jeffrey Miller's toiletries with my minimum wage. She shrugs, pulling out her wallet and giving me four $100 dollar bills. Woah. That's more than I make a year...
