"How's Tita?" he asked, while I'm glaring at him to death.

I clenched my fist, cursing in my head. His presence in my sight boils the blood in me. I was tricked.

"I've already told you everything last night. She's fine. If that's all you want to know, I'm leaving," I replied in a rush and left the table.

"Wait," he said. "I told you last night, too. You left something."

"What?" I turned to him.

He lent a handkerchief, and I recognized it right away. I was about to snatch it from his hand, but he pulled it quickly and suddenly bent down on the sandy ground.

Because of the scene he's causing, all of the guests' attention went to us.

"I'd like to propose—"

I went hysterical, immediately.

"What? Anong propose? You brought me here para rito? Baliw ka ba?!" I yelled out of surprise and confusion.

Right after I snapped at him, I can't tell much of his reaction but only a surprised look. There was silence between us, and around the guests. I was panting, and almost couldn't move any step further because of what I just did.

Venice rushed to me, panicking. "Sir Ike! Yes, he's just proposing to you an official invitation to our project! 'Di ba, sir Gelo?"

She's trying to ease the escalating tension. And, it seems I misunderstood what he was about to do in front of me. I overreacted, and from what I'm seeing in my perspective, I have caused a scene.

"Sorry, but I'm leaving."

I turned my back at them and paced out of the place. I should've known he's going to do this after blocking him online. He tricked me and I really didn't see this coming.

What happened today was too much. While I was walking away, my mind was taking me back to the similar scene I made back then.

"Icarus!" They were calling my name, but I didn't dare to look back.

"Ikaw naman, ang daling mapikon!" Sheena yelled as I walked away, and then, I heard a series of laughs from them.

I tried to wrap myself with my own arms as I held back my emotion, trying to burst out of me. If I fail to get over this, I will surely cause a scene.

I should get home instead.

As I heard fast paces behind me, I fastened up my walk to leave the place, until someone held my arm.

"Icarus."

Raiver pulled the arm that was holding back my emotions, and now, my tears started to fall. "Leave me alone."

"Binibiro ka lang naman nila. Balik ka na para matapos na practice nati—"

"Sorry, but I'm leaving. Transfer na lang ako ng group."

I turned my back, but I heard another yell from that girl who has been making me their subject of jokes since the start of our practice. "OA! Kalalaking tao! Oops, lalaki nga ba?"

I ran, ignoring the blurry sight caused by my own tears. I could no longer bear everything they have all said to me. And, I hate the way tables would turn when I react; I always end up being painted as the villain and called so many names that it's scarring my memories.
