"Addy can you come over here?" My mom yells from downstairs as I close the book I was reading.
"I'm coming!" I say as I walk down the stairs to see my mom and dad sitting on the table.
"What's up?" I ask as I sit down on the chair.
"Addy, we've been keeping this from you for a while but, we're moving." My mom announces.
"What? Moving? Where?" I ask. I've lived in New York my entire life and we're moving?"I know this might be hard but we're moving to Indiana. Your father and I agreed that it would be better for you to not be in the city when you grow up."
"What? Mom, I've lived here ever since I was a kid and now we're moving? When would we even move?"
"Well your mother and I found a house thats ready for us in about a month or so, which would make you go to school about a month or so after it starts."
"So I'm gonna be a new kid? Dad that's gonna be so embarrassing." I say as I cover my face with my hands.
"It's gonna be alright, you'll fit in perfectly." My dad says as I sigh and leave the table.
— timeskip to a month later
As we pass the "Welcome to Hawkins" sign, I see the population only being 10,000 people. How am I surviving.
"Okay, this is the house." My dad says as I look at the two story house with big windows and a big white door.
I close the car door and get my backpack from the trunk and wait for my mom to open the door.
"Okay, your room is upstairs 2nd room to the right." My mom says as I nod and go upstairs.
I enter my room to see a walk in closet and a bathroom. Okay, well at least one things good here.
— 2 hours later
"So Addy, you have your schedule right?" My mom asks as we eat the takeout she ordered."Yep. Do I have to go tomorrow? I'm gonna know no one." I ask, anxiety bubbling in my stomach thinking about going to school.
"You'll be alright honey, I bet there's tons of new kids." My dad says as me and my mom look at him.
"Dad, 10,000 people live here. I bet there's only like 50 kids in 7th grade." I say as my mom and dad laugh.
"Okay well, you'll do great you know how to make friends easily." My mom reassures me as I nod my head.
— the next morning
"Addy, wake up!" My mom says as she shakes me.
"Ugh, what time is it?" I ask as I rub my eyes.
"It's time for you to get up lady. It's 6:30." My mom says as I slowly get out of my bed as my mom leaves my room.
"We're gonna leave in 30 minutes by the way!" My mom yells as she goes downstairs and I go to my big box of clothes that I still haven't unpacked.
I choose a pair of blue jeans and a white and navy striped sweater with black converse and quickly change.I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth as I brush my platinum blonde pin straight hair.
My mom always wants me to get bangs or something to make my hair stick out more but I always tell her it's too much work. Plus, I like not having to do too much on my hair.
"You look so pretty, Addy!" My mom says as she puts my hair in front of my shoulders.
"Thanks, mom." I say as I smile at her.
"Let me get my camera to take a photo." My mom says as I sigh.
