I look at the red portal. Am I really doing this? I swim through the portal, going to the Upside Down."Okay. Okay. Where would Steve get dragged to?" I ask as I look around.
I hear a scream. Steve. Shit. I look beside me and see an oar. I quickly grab the oar as I run towards the scream.
I look at Steve, who has a bat choking him with bats biting him. Oh my God.
I swing at the bat.
"Hey there." I say as I hit the rest of the bats to the ground."Addy!" Nancy yells as I look at her, Robin, and Eddie all running towards me.
"Get the hell off!" I yell as I hit the bats. Eddie, Nancy, and Robin all hit the bats as Robin tries to get the bat off Steve's neck.
"Addy, watch out!" Nancy yells as a bat comes behind me. I yelp as I stand up.
"Get it off me!" I yell as Nancy gets the bat off me. I hit the bat, squeezing the body as I take a deep breath.
"You son of a bitch!" Eddie yells as I throw a bat to the ground.
Steve looks at us, his mouth bleeding.
"God, Steve!" I yell as I look at him.
"Are you okay?" Nancy asks, going towards him.
"Well, they took about a pound of flesh." Steve says, looking at his stomach.
"But, other than that, yeah, never better." Steve adds as I look at the bats.
"Uh, do you guys think these have like rabies?" I ask as I grab the flashlight, pointing it at the dead bat.
"What?" Robin asks me.
"Well like, rabies are like... really fucking disgusting." I say as they all stare at me.
"What? It's true. And if they do, Steve's gonna die if we don't get him a doctor." I say as the bats fly towards us.
Oh shit. I stand next to Nancy and Steve as we look at the bats in front of us.
"All right. There's not that many." Steve whispers.
"We can take em. Right?" Steve asks as a whole swarm of bats critter in the air.
"Yeah. Not that many." I say sarcastically.
"The woods. Come on!" Nancy yells as she runs towards the woods as we follow her.
Why did I want to come with?
The bats chitter as we all hide under a huge rock. Oh my God. Oh my God. This is actually how I die.
"Oh... okay. That was close." Robin says as the chitters grow farther as we all stand up.
"Yeah. Too close." I say as I wipe my pants.
"Oh, shit." Steve says as I turn around, Steve leaning on a rock.
"Steve?" Nancy asks as we look at him.
"Jesus." Nancy says as she walks towards him."I'm fine. I'm fine." Steve reassures as I roll my eyes.
"No, no, no. You're not. You're losing blood. Okay, sit." Nancy says as Steve sits down.
"All right." Nancy says as Steve takes his hand off his stomach, reveealing the wound.
"Holy shit." I say as Nancy rips off a piece of her shirt.
"Okay, so the good news is that wooziness is not a symptom of rabies, I think. But, I know that if you start hallucinating and having muscle spasms or feeling aggressive like you wanna punch me, let me know." Robin says quickly.
