Jisung woke up groggy, sitting and stretching on the couch. He rubbed his eyes, looking around the room as the events of the day prior returned to his mind. He gets up slowly, pushing off the blanket he didn't remember using and walking to the kitchen.
The boy turned on the coffee maker, playing on his phone while he waited for it. Nearby was a note on the bench. He picked it up, eyes widening when he read the words.
Lock your door sweetheart.
He gasped before realizing it was probably Eun and he must've forgotten to lock the door. Yes, that's it.
When the coffee was done, he sat at the table, sipping his coffee. Two arms slid around his neck.
"Good morning baby." A tired voice said behind him.
"Morning Eun, oh, thanks for putting the blanket on me last night, it ended up getting really cold." He thanked, twisting his neck to face his boyfriend, who looked at him confused.
"What are you talking about? I didn't arrive home until a few hours ago. The door was unlocked too, you should remember to lock that next time." He answered, walking to the kitchen and pouring his own coffee, soon sitting across from Jisung. He froze, hand midway reaching into his pocket to show, and ask about, the note. He quickly brought his hand back, deciding to keep this a secret for now.
"Where did you stay last night?" The boy asked, hands resting on the table.
"At a friend's house. After the news thing we got hungry, ordered pizza and went to his house. I guess I just fell asleep there." The other eyed him suspiciously as this wasn't the first time something like this has happened.
"What? You don't believe me? Wow, you're such a great boyfriend." He rolled his eyes, standing up and dropping on the couch, flicking on the TV. Jisung sighed, looking back at his phone to mindlessly scroll for a bit.
Over on the couch, Eun picks up his phone, receiving a call.
"Hello?"
"Really?"
"The one on south street?"
"Okay, we'll be there a soon as possible."
He hung up, jumping from the couch.
"Get dressed, someone's robbing the bank on south street." Jisung followed his movement, rushing to his room to get changed. As he was pulling on his shirt, the note fell from his pocket. He quickly shoved it back in as Eun entered.
"Hurry up, we have to be there soon." He left again and the boy could hear the door unlocking and garage door opening. He threw on a jumper and grabbed his dagger.
He always carried a dagger, though he'd rather have a gun, Eun always said he wasn't ready or skilled enough. In the end, the dagger was useless, that's if he ever got to fight.
Jisung ran to the car, jumping in and slamming the door. His boyfriend started speeding off.
When they arrived, the outside was silent. There wasn't anything around at all, except for one black car parked at the front. The younger carefully approached the vehicle while the elder headed to the door of the building.
Jisung froze, horrified at what he was seeing. The front window was cracked with a small hole through it and a man was slumped against the steering wheel. Blood was flooding across the dashboard, some spilling out of the car, starting to paint it red.
He gagged, turning away from the horrid scene and hurrying to the stone steps. By now, Eun was already inside the building, so he braced himself to be met with his lover fighting off criminals.
