He clicked through, opening the browser and typing in the first dead guy's name.
"Jiho Kim." He whispered as he typed it in, clicking the enter button and leaning back. Immediately, multiple links to older newspaper articles come up. Jisung scrolls down slightly,
"Jiho Kim let out of jail. Jiho Kim back in jail after 3 years. Jiho Kim makes appearance at convenience store." He read out. He clicked on one, skimming it for a few minutes until finding what he wants.
Kim Jiho was arrested at 15 and put in a juvenile detention center for 12 months for attempting to steal multiple very expensive packs of different varieties of medicine from a pharmacy. 2 years after he was let out, he was caught again stealing similar items from a different pharmacy. He plead guilty but said that it was for his sick daughter and got a 4-year sentence. He wasn't around for a while until reappearing at a shop in a different town, trying to steal more medicine. He got a 6-year sentence but was let out 3 years earlier on good behavior. He has been missing ever since and the public are waiting for him to make another appearance.
Jisung chuckles, reading the last line.
"He won't be doing that anytime soon." He says, screenshotting the paragraph. Further down is a picture, a mugshot of the guy. The boy compares it to the ID, noting that the only difference is a tattoo on his cheek.
He recalls the beat-up face he saw in the bank, shivering at how gross it was, then places the ID in the draw with the notes, looking at the next one and clearing the search bar. He typed the next name in, surprised when it didn't come up with anything.
Jisung scrolled, having to dig through multiple websites trying to find any information. He finally clicked on one, eyes widening when he started reading.
Yang Chanyeol accused of fraud and potential vehicular manslaughter shunned by celebrity friends. Although being accused of murder, he was only sentenced to 6 years for fraud. Rumours say he bribed judge to bring down his sentence and get rid of his murder allegations. Since then, this upcoming celebrity has served his times and been let out, staying outside of the public view. People are unsure if he will ever return.
He looked down further, disappointed when no mugshot was posted. He lightened up a bit though when a picture of this guy wearing a suit and being surrounded by photographers popped up. He glanced at the ID, immediately he could tell it was the same guy.
Jisung screenshotted this paragraph too, adding it to a folder on the desktop. When he was done, he closed the laptop and hid the ID away. The boy leaned back, stretching and glancing at the clock.

He sighed, not feeling an ounce of tiredness. Jisung decided to open the draw, retrieving the notes and lying in bed. He held them up, staring at the words. They were weird, sure, but in a sort of way they were...flattering?
No one had ever called him such a nickname, not even Eun.
Lock your door sweetheart.
Too late sweetheart.
He read them again, annoyed at the fact he didn't know who was leaving these notes or why. He placed the notes down next to him, covering his face with his hands and groaning. Jisung looked through his fingers, glancing at the door and then at the notes.
He sat up, eyes flicking between the door and the notes again. The boy stood up, stuffing the papers in his pocket and grabbing his phone. Before he could think he had left the room, heading straight for the front door, but checking to see if Eun was asleep on the way.
He exited the home, determined to find whoever was writing these notes or at least a clue. Even if he didn't, he hoped to at least see the man from last night. That's only if he was real and not a figment of Jisungs imagination.
The events from that night were fuzzy, so he really didn't know if he dreamed it all up. The boy had also considered telling Eun, but he would say he was stupid and crazy for seeing a dead man.
Jisung walked down the dark and empty streets, kicking stones and humming to himself. He didn't really know what he was looking for, but it was nice to be out of the house. The boy had been on his computer for hours, finding the identity of those men.
Only to confirm they weren't citizens, but people who had committed crimes before, and were robbing the bank.
So, who killed them?
Who was the lady rambling on about?
And who the fuck was leaving these god damn notes?
Jisung kicked another rock angrily, watching it hit the wall and bounce back to the pavement. There were so many unanswered questions swimming in his mind. His thoughts all the time were plagued with them, even distracting him from his job.
He also was keeping this a secret from his boyfriend, though he didn't seem to notice or care. Jisung knew that Eun would be mad that he was keeping secrets from him, but in this case where some stranger is calling him sweetheart, he thought it would be safer to keep it to himself.
The boy eventually made it to a random park, not even realizing how far he had walked. He sat on a swing, pushing himself gently with his feet as he admired the stars.
They were always something he liked to look at, something that helped distract from everything going wrong in life. He swung for a bit, breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the darkness and silence.
While sitting and swinging slightly, he pulled out the notes, barely being able to read them in the light from the lamppost nearby. Jisung read them again and again, still not understanding what deeper meaning they could have or who could've written them.
He placed his head in his hands.
"Who are you?" He whispered into his palms. "And what do you want?"
After what felt like not long enough, he got up, ready to leave and return home. As he took a step, a rustle nearby stopped him. The boy whipped around, frantically looking for what could have made the noise in the bushes, but it was silent after that.
A little shaken up, he walked home, entering through the front door and heading straight to his bedroom. He got inside placing his phone down and going to rest on the bed, but something stopped him.
There, in the middle of his bed was a note.
Nice try sweetheart.
He picked it up, only now noticing the open window. Unsure what else to do, he added it to the rest in the draw, closed the window, peeking out slightly to see if anyone was there, and layed in bed, a wave of tiredness finally washing over him.
