Jimin's point of view

I am leaning over Tae's desk, trying to explain a geometry problem for the umpteenth time. The board is filled with diagrams and equations. Today's math class is cancelled as our teacher is on leave. Tae and I snuck into an empty classroom to study.

Me: (sighs) 'Tae, it’s simple. The sum of the angles in a triangle is always 180 degrees. How can you not get this?'

Tae: (scratching his head) 'But if I add these angles, I get 190 degrees. Is this a special triangle?'

Me: (frustrated) 'No, Tae! You must have added wrong. Look, 60 plus 60 plus 60 is…'

Tae: (interrupting) '180! I got it! Wait, no… 190?' I facepalmed, trying to keep my cool. I am taking a deep breath and starting to explain again, drawing a new triangle on the board.

Me: 'Okay, let’s try this again. If one angle is 90 degrees and the other two are 45 degrees each, what’s the total?'

Tae: (confidently) '90 plus 45 plus 45… 180!'

Me: (relieved) 'Yes! Finally, you got it!' Just as I start to feel a glimmer of hope,

Tae suddenly exclaims: Tae: 'Wait, Jimin! What if the triangle is upside down? Do the angles change?'

I stared at Tae, speechless. The absurdity of the question hits me, and I can’t help but burst into laughter. My frustration melts away as I realize how genuinely confused yet hilariously earnest Tae is.

Me: (laughing) 'Tae, triangles don’t change their angles no matter how you turn them!' Tae joins in the laughter.

Me: (teasing) 'You know, Tae, sometimes I wonder if your brain is made of triangles too. Always getting the angles wrong!'

Tae: (mock offended) 'Oh, you think you’re so smart, huh? Just wait!'

Tae lunges at me, I dodge and start running around the empty classroom. I am quick, but Tae is determined. After a few laps around the desks, Tae finally corners me against the wall.

Tae: (breathing heavily) 'Got you now, Mr. Topper!' The air suddenly feels charged.

I, trapped between Tae and the wall, feel a strange flutter in my stomach. Our laughter fades, replaced by an unexpected tension. Both of us are breathing hard, faces close, eyes locked.

Me: (softly, flustered) 'T-Tae...' My cheeks feel hot as I realize how close we are. My heart races, not just from the chase but from the sudden proximity. I feel a mix of confusion and excitement, like butterflies in my stomach.

Tae: (smirking) 'What’s wrong, Jimin? Cat got your tongue?'

I tried to compose myself, but the intensity of the moment makes it hard.I looked away, trying to hide my flustered expression, but the butterflies in my stomach only grow stronger.

Tae's annoying antics never fail to get under my skin. he just grabbed my chin, making me look straight into those deep, teasing eyes of his.

Tae: "Oh, Jiminie is feeling shy today, huh? Look at those cheeks, all red like a tomato."

Me: "Ugh, shut up, T-Tae."
