Giants of Hyrule

Chapter 8

          The grey giant was using a toothpick to pick his teeth at the table while his feet were propped up on it and his chair was tilted back.

"DARK LINK!!!"

Dark Link paused when he heard the king storming towards him and calling his name rather angrily. He rolled his eyes and flicked the toothpick away before standing up.

"What happened, Ganondorf?" he asked in an annoyed tone.

"Where is that brat's mother?!!!" Ganondorf demanded.

"I put her back in her cage, locked up tight." Dark Link shrugged. "Why?"

"Good. Her little spawn somehow managed to bite me and get away...She found a crack in the wall and squeeze through it...and I cannot get to her!!!!!" the enraged king growled.

Dark Link held back a snicker,

"You were bested by a child that's like 10x smaller than your pinky?" he snorted.

"Just find her before she escapes again!!!!! Meanwhile, I'm going to go have a little 'talk' with that bird. Who undoubtedly told her about the cracks that STILL HAVE YET TO BE FIXED!!!" Ganondorf finished his sentence with a deadly glare at the enslaved villagers whose job was to seal any cracks in the walls.

The enslaved villagers yelped in fear and scrambled to get to work.

Ganondorf stomped off to Dark Link's bedroom, while Dark Link went off to find Hope, using his sense of smell to find her, as any alert giant would.

A while ago, the whole crack in the wall almost crumbles as Ganondorf bellowed at the child through the crack but she managed to get within the walls of the castle, now she needed to get outside and get to Mr. Link.

She ran through and climbed down every narrow crack within the wall. She climbs down more cracks within until she hears a sound through this one particular wall, like loud sobbing.

There's a micro peep hole that's small enough for Hope to look through.

Hope sees it's her Mommy sobbing in her cage.

"My little Hope...why her!?..."

Hope also saw Mr. Archie, still alive and kept in her old cage.

The little girl must be within the walls of Dark Link's room. And her Mommy wouldn't cry that loudly if Dark Link is around, so the room must be completely empty.

Hope makes her way down and exited through a crack on Dark Link's wall which leads to his table and sees the cages. Hope said super quietly,

"Psst!...Mommy...!...Mr. Archie...!"

Ina opened her eyes and is astonished on who she sees,

"Hope!? How did you--?"

Archie looked up weakly at Hope, smiling slightly,

"Hope...thank the goddesses you're alive," he said.

Hope answered her Mommy,

"It's Mr. Archie's idea about the cracks on the wall."

"You followed the cracks just like I said. You're a smart child for remembering." Archie replied.

Hope approach Archie and said,

"Don't worry, Mr. Archie, I'll get you out too."

Hope looks at the locks on their cages, it looks heavy duty, but the keyhole is big enough to fit her little arm.
