When Link got to the courtyard, Ganondorf was standing on the other side of the courtyard.

"So, you've defeated my champion, hmm? How unfortunate for him. It seems I'll have to replace him after I kill you." Ganondorf spoke.

"Let Ina go, Ganondorf, and make things easier for the both of us." Link said, brandishing a sword he'd 'borrowed' from one of Ganondorf's skeleton minions.

"And what if I don't? What are you going to do, cut me open?" the evil king spoke with a cocky smile.

Link grunted and got into a fighting stance.

"Well, if you're that eager to begin..." Ganondorf drew his own sword.

Link charged first, but Ganondorf shattered Link's sword and laughed as the blonde giant staggered back.

"Is this really the best you can do?" the cruel king cackled, hitting Link in the stomach with his knee.

After Link was kicked in the stomach, Hope flew out of Link's mouth, screaming and falling in the grass.

Link panted and coughed as Ganondorf lifted the battered elf up by his scalp.

"Honestly, I expected more of a challenge if you were able to beat Dark Link. Pathetic..." He threw him to the ground, unknowingly making him almost trap Hope under his back.

Hope shook her head from the landing, and then bounced off the ground when Link impacted the ground.

Link coughed and wiped some blood from his lip. Link said,

"Well...I did have some help from a little someone..." He staggered to his feet and the two circled one another. "You know what flaw you never take into account? You underestimate those smaller than you!"

Hope can feel the rumbling footsteps of the two giants circling.

The little girl held back a gasp as she's actually close to where Ganondorf is than where Link is.

Ganondorf growled and swung his sword at Link, who slid forward and between his legs before jumping up again.

Link gave the air a subtle sniff and his heart almost stopped. He could smell Hope. Which meant she was out in the courtyard somewhere and vulnerable. It seemed Ganondorf caught on to this as well.

"What's the matter, Link? What happened to your fighting spirit? Afraid your precious little friend will be crushed?~" The evil king smirked.

Hope wanted to tell Link she's over here close by Ganondorf's feet but can't fearing he will notice her. So she tried running while hidden in the grass to try to reach Mr. Link.

"You stay away from her, Ganondorf..." Link warned.

"Or what? You're battered and bruised and barely able to stand! Besides, come morning, her mother will be gone~" The king laughed and gave his stomach a few hearty pats. He then said,

"So why not send her daughter to the same place to greet her?" He reared his arm back and struck Link across the face, making him yell and fall into the grass.

The evil king began sniffing the air and scanning the ground.

"Where are you, little one?~" he boomed.

Hope felt the rumbling impact again and saw through the grass that it's Link down and bruised.

And after Ganondorf boomed his voice, Hope gasped quietly and tried getting away from him by running towards Link.
