Giants of Hyrule

Chapter 5

          Many hours later, morning came. Hope slept in the roots of a tree all night and is covered in a pile of leaves.

The child was tossing and turning in her sleep, having a nightmare until she shot her eyes open and yelled,

"Mommy!"

Hope frantically looks around and realizes it is just a dream, or maybe she's still in a nightmare because her Mommy is still a prisoner of that horrible king and his champion.

She can't imagine what her Mommy might be going through right now.

Hope got up and shook the leaves off her body and ran deeper in the forest.

It felt like she ran for hours, until Hope notices a smell in the air and her tummy grumbles from it. She looks up and sees a tall white smoke giving off an appetizing aroma.

"I need breakfast, maybe that smoke could lead to a nearby village!" Hope said. So she ran and followed the smoke until she finally reached this "village".

This "village" has a pretty large campfire, some wild boars roasting on a makeshift spit, an enormous bedroll, and a bag of shiny, sparkly rupees.

But there didn't appear to be anyone around at the moment.

After a little while, Hope explored around and checks out every strange "building". She was very puzzled of this. She still didn't realize what she's actually exploring is someone's large campsite.

"What a weird village...I explored top and bottom and I still don't see one person...Is it abandoned...? But why leave the fire lit--? AH!"

Hope fell in a ditch and groaned from the soreness, she climbed out and dust-off herself.

"That was clumsy of me...I gotta be more careful." Hope said, but what she didn't know that the ditch she just fell in is shaped very much like footprints from someone's boots.

Not long after she climbed out, faint tremors began to rumble in the earth beneath her feet.

Though, unlike the tremors at the castle from Dark Link, these were not quite as loud despite the fact that they became louder as the source got closer.

From Hope's point of view she couldn't see past the trees or a new face is coming, all she hears and sees are the trees swaying in a linear path, indicating that something really big is coming and the tremors are getting louder.

"Someone's coming! I gotta hide!" Hope said nervously. She scrambled to find a place to hide.

She ran into this "hut" and went in the doorway and to her surprise is a pile of normal-sized fruits and vegetables.

As this strange someone is getting closer, she dived and hid among the fruits and veggies.

She also didn't know that the "hut" she just entered is a giant weaved basket that looks handmade and there was a hole in its side.

A new tall giant emerged out of the forest and entered his campsite.

He's about the exact same height as Dark Link. He also had blonde hair, some of which was tied back into a small ponytail, bright blue eyes, a blue tunic, light brown trousers and dark brown boots.

He carried a bundle of tree branches and he threw them into the fire before stoking it with a small tree. He turned the boars carefully, making sure they were evenly cooked.
