Ganondorf swallowed them both with a mighty gulp,

Both Ina and Hope descended as the throat muscles squeezed them further down, but only for a moment as the throat muscles began to pulsate violently.

The chili powder went down Ganondorf's windpipe and he began coughing really hard.

The throat opened wide, released them from its hold, and a huge burst of air from below them and rocketed them out his mouth.

He was coughing so much it was hard to draw a breath and he ended up launching the two onto an empty space on the counter. Ina hugged Hope protectively and used her body as a shield as they landed on the counter again.

"Hope, darling, are you okay?" Ina said.

Hope had her eyes closed but as she opened them she looked around surprised that they are not in the evil king's mouth.

"Mommy! We're out?!" Hope asked, and then she hears tremendous coughing from Ganondorf that shook the kitchen.

Ganondorf rushed away from them and grabbed some water to ease the burning, spicy sensation in his trachea.

This is their chance of escape. Ina carries Hope and heads towards the window before Dark Link came in.

Dark Link burst into the kitchen and his eyes widened,

"What in the world happened?!" he exclaimed. "Did you choke on them?!"

"No, you idiot!! They're escaping!! Stop them!!" Ganondorf barked.

As Dark Link glanced towards the window and lunged at them. But by the time he's close enough to grab them, Ina jumped out the window just in time and grabbed a vine on the castle wall and slid and jump down 'til they touched the grass.

Hope looks up from Ina's arms and sees they are outside the castle and are totally free.

"We did it, Mommy! We're free!" Hope said excitedly.

"That's right, Dear, now let's leave this horrid place!" Ina replied as she carried Hope and bolted from the castle.

Hope glances up the window and sees Dark Link and Ganondorf through the castle's window.

She grinned triumph and shouted at them,

"Na na na na! Slow Pokes!" She then stick her tongue out at them and made a loud raspberry sound as she flapped her hands close to her face, making fun of them. Then Hope said to Ganondorf,

"SEE!? I told you so before, your majesty! Now we're free!!!"

Ina took Hope as they ran across the draw bridge and disappear into the forest.

The two evil giants looked out the window and scowled at the two who had escaped.

"Wretched little pests...this is far from over!!!" Ganondorf vowed, glaring out where they had seen the two escape.

Dark Link growled to himself then perked up, remembering something. He turned to Ganondorf,

"Sir, I have an idea of where they may go. It's where I found the brat the last time. But I'll need a day or two to make up a plan. If I go there now, I won't be as likely to catch them. The trick is to make them think they're in the clear, and then strike."

"Do what you must..." the king growled. "But later this evening, go collect the rest of this month's taxes from the eastern villages. And I must warn you, if you fail me again, I will lock you down in the dungeon with the other prisoners. Understood?"
