Growing up in the Capitol teaches many things, but one of them is engraved into Etta's mind. The districts are an enemy. She knows this well; years of being taught about it and never-ending lectures from her father. Etta despises the districts. At least, she does until she is chosen to mentor the district 7 boy, who makes a lasting impression on her. But there's a catch. What do you do when you start to fall for someone who is almost guaranteed to not see their next birthday?
No clue. But something she certainly knows is that she'd do anything to get him out of that arena. While Treech is in a game of life or death, she'll be playing a couple games herself to make sure he lives.

hey everyone!! i'm a new writer and i'm honestly so excited about it. i've read the tbosas book and watched the movie countless times, i'll probably be doing a mix of the two for this book.
i plan on keeping my chapters at a good length, i have a pretty short attention span when it comes to writing, so they won't be too long. trying to make this a slow burn, but it's hard to do when the games are starting in like a few weeks, soo...
only things i truly own here are etta and a few made up backround characters! been wanting to write this for ages now, and i finally have motivation!!
