New Year's Eve.
Wow. We're already at New Year's Eve, it's nearly the twins' first birthday. And we nearly have to get out of here, the kids are walking. They're talking a bit. I'm such a proud mom and Duke is such a great dad. He's been doing right by the kids. It's been so nice sharing parenthood with him and we'll be sharing that for the rest of my life. We've got another party. Same people, different vibes. Today, we gon have to cook really early in order to get things done. So I got my mom and Duke's mother to come over and help with me and the girls.
6AM... In The Kitchen...
Duke's Mother: How are you Destinee?
"You know, hanging in there. We gon live in South Carolina in Duke's apartment which is good. I suggested to live at yours but he didn't want to"
Duke's Mother: Why?
"I wanted you to help with the twins but now they're about to turn one, I think I'm capable of raising them on my own"
Victoria: Was you even considering living with me?
"That's if Duke does some fucked up shit and I gotta escape"
I then looked at Duke's mother.
"I'm sorry Mom, but it's true please don't tell him, that's if he does some fucked up shit though"
Duke's Mother: I won't my sweetheart. I'll be on call with your mom to make sure y'all are okay.
"Thank you"
Duke's Mother: And Imma beat his ass.
Me and my mother chuckled and then the rest of the girls came downstairs even though me, mother in law and mother were nearly done.
Ammi: Y'all cooked without us?
"How long did y'all take to wake up when I woke y'all up?"
Adreel: We didn't even take that long don't even do that.
Gio: I agree with Adreel.
"Y'all slept over for about a week and y'all are no help for real. I got twins to look after and a husband to get back to bed to"
Victoria: You got no time to sleep girl, you woken up for good. It's New Year's Eve.
"Where are you going to spend it?"
Victoria: We spending it with Duke's family their year.
"That's so nice."
Me and the mothers then finished cooking our parts of the food. Then the girls came in and did their part and then we all cleaned up and then we got ready.
"What are we thinking of wearing my girlies. Oh hold on, lemme walk the mom's out"
Gio: Alright.
I then walk with the moms to the door.
"Have y'all cooked back at Duke's mama house?"
Victoria: Yeah everything is done.
"Alright, hope y'all enjoy your party today"
