5 Years Later...
It's been 5 years since my departure from Atlanta. I've been living with the twins and taking care of them on my own with my mom. Of course, the rest of the group helped me sometimes. Came over to my mansion sometimes to help me with the twins. But now they grown, they are capable of doing shit by themselves. Mom has been living with me and she's been such good help, but I've been trying. I now have two jobs. An owner of a jazz bar, named after my father, the Gaines Jazz Bar. This jazz bar has changed my life ever since I was younger. I would be in and out of LA with my dad just to listen to jazz and help him around the shop.
AMP, except from Duke, moved to New Orleans for me. Helping me with the shop and whatever I needed. I've heard Duke got a wife now. But she's barren which is sad but I haven't been on good terms with him lately. He's been acting real funny. Everytime, it's time to take the kids, he'll put on some attitude and just not say hello to me and just act mad weird.
Today, I'm showing the kids how to work around the shop now they are at that age to help me. I'll obviously be paying them. But they are really loving New Orleans. The twins are now 16 years old. And they are really growing. They're doing good in school. I feel so old. But I'm still young and fine in my eyes. Mom also helps us in the shop. Duke's family still talks to me to this day. Today, Duke's mother and father are coming to visit. It feels weird but I still am close with them. We just really need to update each other on everything.
"Mom!"
Victoria: Destinee, we ready and also Duke's parents are here.
It's the evening so the shop is about to open. We have the same customers but sometimes we have new customers and we always get the best ratings. This bar is from the soul. It's small but a bit spacious. We prepare food, we have a live band and we also have a lot of drinks.
I then come downstairs in my mansion and see Duke's mother and father alongside Drea and Davo with their girlfriends, Braelynn and Bri.
"Hey"
I was so excited to see them. I then gave them all a hug and a greeting.
Davo: You're place is dope as hell.
"Well, it's the least I could do, what? You like it?"
Drea: Oh we loving it alright?
"Thank you, omg Bri? If I'm correct so happy to finally meet you"
Drea: I'm so sorry. This is my wife, Bri. I know I hid her for a long time but I didn't wanna really put it out there and when I finally realised she was the one. I really just wanted to show her off.
Bri: It's nice to meet you Destinee. Your house is amazing.
"Thank you my lovely, anyways, y'all wanna come to the bar with us? We open in less than an hour"
Davo: Will the rest of the group be there?
"Yeah, we can open later if y'all have something to tell me?"
Drea: Oh we've got a lot to update you on.
"Well, great, we ready to go Ma?"
Victoria: Yeah baby, let's go.
