Chapter 46

Eleanora looked up as Xavier blocked her way. A sigh left her lips.

"Stop getting in my way or I will tell my brothers." She huffed, threatening him.

"Tell what? That you want to marry me." She quite literally flinched at his broad claim.

"You are crazy!" A angry huff escaped her lips as she tried to walk past him but he grabbed her wrist, pulling her to his chest again.

Her cheeks reddened as he looked down at her with intense eyes. His lips were moving closer. Just as she lifted her knee up to kick him, his lips pressed against her cheek. She froze.

"Red suits you." He whispered in her ear. His fingers were caressing her second cheek.

She pushed him away and this time he stepped away, giving her space.

"Just what do you want in return to leave me alone? I'm sick of this." She crossed her arms over her chest.

"Be my girlfriend."

She narrowed her eyes at him.

"Yeah right! In your dreams, dumbass!"

She swiftly turned around and walked away. All this time, her heart was beating loud in her chest and her face was trying hard to not break into a smile.

"My proposal still stands!" She heard him yell but didn't turn around.

Nora hummed a tone under her breath as she poured the tea in cups.

She handed one to Hades and kept the other one for herself.

"How's your study?" He asked as she took a seat beside him.

"Everything is good. The lecturers are all nice and my subjects are very interesting." She answered, smiling.

"Is there any boy troubling you?" He asked out of nowhere. Nora choked in the split second as Hades caught her offguard.

"So there is, huh?! Why didn't you tell me before?" He asked, looking at her seriously.

"Hades, umm you can trust me alright. I will be all fine. There is nothing to worry. I know how to handle those petty matters." She told him with a clear smile on her face.

Hades didn't say anything but Nora knew him better.. He was pondering over whether to listen to her or not.

Finally, he nodded.

"If it gets out of hand, I will step in." He said in a clear tone that had Nora flinching a bit.

"Hmm."

The next day, just as Vincent's car drove away after dropping her in front of the University. Immediately, Xavier blocked her path.

He gave a once over to her outfit. She was wearing a summer dress that perfectly suited her frame. His breath caught in his throat after seeing how lavender looked so nice on her.

"Hey girlfriend." He waved, enthusiastically.

Nora withheld a groan and swiftly walked past him. To her utter annoyance, he followed her like a lost puppy.

"What is it that you need?" She asked, taking notice of a pleasant smile on his face.

"Your number perhaps and then you to be my girl. If it's not much." He grinned which was closer to be like a maniac.

"You are seriously crazy." She muttered along these lines under her breath and headed straight to her first class. Xavier followed her and sat down beside her.

Every student was looking at them, giggling and whispering. Xavier placed his hand on the back of her seat.

Then without shame, he stared at her. The more he observed her, the more he realized how pretty she was. His heart skipped a beat as she blinked, listening to their lecturer carefully and took notes.

Everything about her was so flawless. She looked up at him and his breath was again caught in his throat as he saw how deep and beautiful her eyes were.

She huffed and looked down at her notebook making him smirk at her behaviour.

She brushed her hair away from her face, redness again creeping up to her cheeks as his stare got intense.

As the class ended, she remained sitting just like Xavier.

"Ok. Why can't you find some other girl to bother?" She asked quite displeased.

"No other girl is as angelic as you in my eyes." He put his hand under his chin to support his face.

She stared at him. He sounded so genuine and it managed to skyrocket her heartbeat.

"Fine! If that's what you want. But only a day. Do you hear me?" He smirked at her words.

"A day is fine with me. I'm sure you will fall in love with me in just a day. And, you will not be able to leave my side forever."

She made it seem like she did not hear him again and walked past him, out of the room.
