My Solace

Part 19: The Amusement Time

"Where are we going? " She asked, the excitement clearly visible in her eyes.

"Somewhere you will love it" He winked at her letting her stay in her assumptions.

She narrowed her eyes at him but that only made her look like a cute little rabbit making him chuckle at her.

The rest of the time she was busy admiring the beauty before her, her charming husband.

The affection and the care in her eyes were not hidden from her eyes making the tip of his ear pink.

His wife most definitely had the ability to make him blush.

They had reached by forenoon to an amusement park. Ruchi smiled remembering that they would often come here before her marriage. She suddenly started missing her family and that was when her eyes fell on her parents, her brother, her brother's wife, and their little baby boy Kunal.

They were waving at her in glee. Her mouth hung open in surprise, she looked at her husband who just smiled at her encouraging her to go to them.

And the next second she ran and hugged her parents, "I missed you" She said controlling her tears.

"Aww, we did too" Her mother patted her head and then asked, "Are you happy? "

Ruchi came out of the hug, "I am happy with the best choice " Both her parents looked at each other and smiled knowingly.

They were satisfied with the happy glow on both of their faces
Samridh and Ruchi looked in love with each other.

Earlier, they planned for a picnic but later changed it to an amusement park knowing well how much Ruchi loved rides and food there.

They had the best time there yet again with the new addition to the family, Samridh.

Initially, he was shit scared of the snake ride but for the love of his wife, he had to sit in that and he did enjoy himself later.

She was really excited and wanted to make him have a taste of everything she found best over the years. Samridh gladly followed her. All three couples went for different activities and later joined at lunch.

Lots of talks and laughter that is what Samridh was surrounded with. He thought himself to be an introvert. But the Asthana family was bringing out new versions of him. He actively participated in the discussions and this was the first time his boss,  Ruchi's father heard him talk more than three sentences.

Ruchi couldn't help but admire her cutely conversing husband.

Anyone who would have seen him five months ago would refuse to say that he was the same person.

She liked his this side. He was just perfect. Was there anything that was not good about him? Ruchi wondered.

He was indeed the best choice.

"Creamm" The little boy Kunal screamed looking at a couple sharing a cone.

Samridh pinched his cheeks, "Sure, Baby! " He took Kunal in his arms and cooed him showing the menu.

Aww! He looked adorable. The big baby with the small baby. Ruchi couldn't help but take a candid picture of them.

Samridh was extremely sweet to kids. And she wondered if he thought of her as a kid too since he was the same with her.

Minutes later Kunal was surrounded by different flavours of Ice Cream. He took only one spoon of each and later the elders chimed in to finish them off.

Everybody had a great time and soon it was time to part ways.

Ruchi hugged her parents with a heavy heart. She did want to go with her husband but she also missed her parents at the same time. But knowing well that her brother and sister-in-law were there to take care of them she parted ways with a smile that they reciprocated.

With a promise to have a similar time soon both the families reached their own home.

Samridh was aware of her sullen face, "Shall I drop you there? " He asked when she looked at him.

He smiled at her. What if he didn't have a family and he didn't know how it feels to leave them behind to start a new family but he definitely knew how much it hurt to miss your family, to not find them close to you when you miss them.

Now that Ruchi was his family he couldn't even imagine staying away from her for even a day but here his wife was staying with him, away from her family where she spent nearly her 25 years of her life.

Ruchi smiled at him, gently holding his hand, "I sure miss my family. But you're my family too. I can't stay away from you too " She snuggled in his chest and he couldn't help but pull her cheeks. She always did such aww-worthy antics and all he wanted to do was put her in an ice cream cone and eat her.

His wife was adorable. By that, he could only imagine how adorable their children would be.

He blushed at his very own thoughts. He was thinking of the process more than the outcome.

Geez! He turned dirty-minded after he met his wife.

Did he mention his wife was sexy too?

Well, she was adorably sexy.

He looked at her sleeping on his chest like a cat. He put his hand in her hair, gently massaging her hair. A moan left her mouth at the comfort. She snuggled more into his chest in her sleep.

And he embraced her lovingly, kissing her forehead.
