JUDY HAD GRABBED ALL HER RESPECTED BELONGINGS FROM HER LOCKER BEFORE SHE WALKED OUT THE DOORS OF THE HIGHSCHOOL TO DAPHNE'S RED PORSHE.

She had been rushing to the car because she was done with the day. Judy wanted to get home to her bed as quick as she could.

"You are so slow, Judy!" Daphne said as Judy got into the backseat of the car.

"I had to talk to someone!" Judy groaned and rubbed her eyes stressfully.

Margaret furrowed her brow, "Who? Garret?"

"No...uh. I had to talk to Ponyboy, Sodapop's little brother." Judy said quietly.

Both girls turned their heads to lock eyes with Judy, "Wait, why were you talking to Ponyboy? Did Sodapop ask about me?" Margaret asked and ran her fingers through her hair.

"No, Margaret. I accidentally told Garret that Ponyboy is my boyfriend..." Judy started and both girls gasped, "So I had to tell him that I did and we made a deal to fake date..."

"Fake date? Judy, just go get a boy, why do you need to fake date?" Daphne rolled her eyes.

"I can't just get a boy immediately like you Daph! God, you don't get that I'm Upchuck Judy and you're the hot chick!" Judy shouted frustratedly.

"Aw thank you for the compliment!" Daphne smiled but Margaret slapped her arm, "Ow—What I mean is you don't have to fake date someone you don't know. Just go have some confidence and ask a boy out!"

Judy rolled her eyes, "I already did it so it's too late now. Might as well just stick with Ponyboy."

"Speaking of Ponyboy, why don't we drive him home? Look he's over there! It would be nice to know where your boyfriend lives!" Margaret said nicely.

"You just wanna see Sodapop!" Judy groaned frustratedly.

"Please, Judy! It would be nice to ask him and I can see Sodapop! Do it for your big sister!" Margaret pleaded with puppy dog eyes.

"Fine! Ugh! Daphne go drive the car closer to him." Judy told her friend which Daphne complied reluctantly.

"You guys owe me gas money." Daphne grumbled. Daphne drove the car closer to Ponyboy and made a stop once she was a bit in front of him. "You ask him, Judy!"

Judy rolled her eyes and worked to roll down her window, she reluctantly spoke, "Hey, Ponyboy, do you want a ride?"

"Uh...ain't that out of y'all's way?" Ponyboy asked hesitantly.

"No, it's fine! I owe you anyways...right?" Judy smiled awkwardly. She was trying to seem polite so he would fine to get into Daphne's car.

Ponyboy sighed, "Alright..."

Judy scooted over to the spot behind Margaret and Ponyboy slided into the seat behind Daphne. "So..uh where can I drop you off? Are you near the DX?" Daphne asked as she turned the car back on.

"Yeah, just drive to the DX and I'll tell you the turns." Ponyboy said nonchalantly.

Daphne nodded her head and put in a cassette to a band that her and the girls liked. Daphne took the memorized route to the DX before she hit a stop sign. "Peggy, can you pass me my bag?"
