The day after the Shiketsu Arena accident, you learned that you had injured your own grandfather- and mortally wounded the pro hero Hamster Ball.
Hell, no one escaped completely unscathed. Even you had almost died in the ambulance; your dehydration and fatigue finally taking a serious toll on your body. The 'other you' drained all your valuable nutrients to heal itself, so you were wired to a small army of machines to keep you alive.
Of course, the news about your Grandfather was delivered by your unnaturally calm Grandmother- who seemed very nonchalant about the fact her husband or grandchild could have died. You would have scowled at her if it weren't for the oxygen mask and sedatives you were on.
Apparently you had finally reverted back into, well, yourself after a seriously hard hit from All Might (whom you wished you had met on better circumstances.) Thankfully, the 'other you' had absorbed the punch.
Other than that, there had been no casualties. You were recovering just fine. Rockefeller, Hamster Ball, and your Grandfather were recovering as well.
Well... Hamster Ball would most likely be forced to retire... And your grandfather would have to walk with a cane for the rest of his life.
Guilt plagued your mind as you sat in your hospital bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.
You... You didn't mean to hurt them. It wasn't you who attacked them.
It was... someone else.
Static Void. It was... VOID who attacked them.
It felt so weird, being trapped in VOID. It was like you were floating in space, completely numb and cold. The only sense you really had control over was your hearing. You heard your grandfather's voice, the yells of the pros, All Might's struggle against VOID.
It was scary, being locked in your own body. You never wanted to let VOID take control ever again.
The only positive out of this entire situation was that your grandmother began to let you rest more after training. After seeing All Might, of all heroes, struggle against her own Granddaughter; she didn't want to deal with VOID by herself.
The Hero Association also began to monitor your Quirk's development. They didn't want another accident like this to occur. Your name was put under file at an S-Rank danger level, and you were to be monitored by a licensed hero at all times (which wasn't a problem, since your family was full of heroes.) Your training was limited to only 10 hours a day, and your quirk was only to be used when necessary.
These changes were hilarious to you. A 10 year old scared the Great Hero Association; the one that employed heroes like All Might and Endeavor.
That was so rich.
Your grandmother, on the other hand, was furious. She argued over the training limits that the association set and even threatened to sue them. You pitied the poor representative that they sent over to inform her.
In the end, she was forced to ease up. With your quirk being a potential danger to the public, the Hero Association threatened to charge her with endangerment if things got out of hand under her again. They also mentioned that if word got out that your grandmother had endangered her own grandchild, the (L/n) family name would be in shambles.
That sure shut her up.
Speaking of your family, your parents somehow didn't know about this whole incident.
Yeah, that's right. Your own parents weren't aware that you had nearly died.
You witnessed the whole cover-up firsthand. Your grandmother had met with some of the HA's sponsors, and bribed them to keep this under wraps from the Press, your parents, and Shiketsu + UA. They agreed to a large sum of money, then left your hospital room.
