9. Dealing in Secrets

Midoriya graciously helped you up from your tin-can tomb. Dusting yourself off, you looked between shriveled All Might and Midoriya.

"So, Mido-kun. Care to introduce me to your "friend?" You smiled sweetly at him. He sweatdropped at your expression.

I'll know if you're lying~!

He wrung his hands and avoided eye contact. "UH, T-this is my uncle! He came from Tokyo t-to- to..."

"Ah, it's no use, Young Midoriya. She already knows." All-Might sighed and pointed at himself. "Yes, I am All-Might. I presume you are one of Young Midoriya's friends, correct? He said you are...?"

"(L/n) (Y/n), at your service All Might-san." You did one of your signature "perfect" bows.

All Might's eyebrows raised in surprise. "(L/n)? As in-"

"Yes." You confirmed, your tone souring. "My parents are Monochrome and Sadako, and my grandparents are Materie and Hyper-Quasar."

"I thought I recognized your name." All Might nodded, looking you up and down.

This is the kid with the out of control quirk... What is she doing here alone?

"Yeah." You muttered, rubbing the back of your neck. "Um. If you're wondering why I'm here alone, I got permission from my parents to travel short distances without using my quirk. I haven't used it all day, I promise."

"Do... Do you two know each other?" Midoriya asked, looking back and forth between you and All Might.

"You could say that." You shrugged. "I had an incident with my quirk a few years ago. All Might was the one who helped save me. Plus, he knows my family relatively well. Y'know, heroes and all, yada yada."

An incident?  Midoriya wondered. She doesn't seem to want to talk about it....

"O-Oh! I see!"

An awkward silence fell over the three of you, and you couldn't help but just stare at Midoriya and All Might. Now that you could actually see Midoriya in something other than his school uniform, you had to admit he looked much different than you expected him to. He was much more muscular than you would have thought he would be.

Same went for All Might, but... Reversed.

Why does he look like a shrimp?

"Well," you put a hand on your hip and pointed at the two of them. "Care to explain what's going on?"

"Um, well..." Midoriya began, looking at All Might to verify it was okay for you to know. All Might nodded.

"For the past eight months, All Might has been training me to prepare for the UA entrance exams. He says I'd be a good candidate to inherit his quirk!"

"Indeed! Young Midoriya here proved himself worthy in an act of true bravery! And, as you can see..." All Might gestured to himself. "I'm not exactly in the shape I used to be in. As much as I hate to admit it, my glory days are coming to an end."

"I see, I see." You nodded, stroking your chin like you had a beard. "And I'm going to assume you wish to keep this a secret, right? I know if word got out that you were weakened, crime rates would spike immediately."

Both of them nodded.

"That's correct, Young (L/n). Can we trust you to keep this secret?" All Might asked.

Of course you were going to keep their secret, You weren't that much of a douchebag. However, the more devious side of you saw an opportunity rise out of this. Midoriya said that he was going to apply for UA, right? That meant All Might was connected to UA in some way...
