"It's a hairline fracture." the doctor said.

What?

Did we get scammed by a hospital? did they just scam a lawyer? Sahaj looked like he was feeling a loss of words, he frowned, looking into the x-ray reports in the doctor's hand.

Not having enough time to go to the same hospital, we ended up at one closer to Sahaj's office to get the plaster changed. It was heartbreaking enough that my pretty bandage was ruined by coffee but at least my dress did not have any stains. when I catch that hoe...

"Look closely, there must be some mistake," Sahaj said, looking between the report and my feet. He's acting more like a doctor than the actual doctor beside him.

After Anamika strutted out of the office, Sahaj carried me all the way down to his car, it was embarrassing now that I think about it, I was too busy enjoying my chauffeur earlier to pay attention to the stares I was the recipient of, thanks Anamika, I hope she's pulling her hair out of frustration now.

"The reports are in front of you Mr Singhania, your wife has a hairline fracture, there's no need for a cast replacement." The doctor said.

I tried twisting my leg, the pain is still there but not enough that it is unbearable.

If Anamika didn't push the file on the desk, I probably would've been walking around with a crutch, with the ugly cast.

Sahaj sighed, clearly annoyed. "Alright, doctor. What do you suggest we do now?"

"Rest and avoid putting too much weight on the leg," the doctor replied. "A supportive bandage or brace will be sufficient. Just be careful and give it time to heal."

Sahaj nodded, still looking a bit sceptical. "Fine. Thank you, doctor," he said, helping me off the examination table.

As we left the hospital, I felt a mixture of relief and annoyance. I had been overly cautious for nothing.

Once outside, Sahaj carefully helped me into the car before closing the door, "I'll get the brace, wait here." He said, walking off to the pharmacy.

I called Mishthi the moment Sahaj left, we are going out tomorrow.

"Hello." Her sweet voice rang in my ears after two rings.

"Guess what?" I asked, folding my injured leg and keeping it over the good one, I poked my skin a few times until she guessed, I could see her making a thinking face.

"Did you guys kiss?" She asked. I wish.

"What? No, of course not Mishthi." I shook my head, "No physical relationship."

"The pictures said otherwise," She replied.

"I was just showing you the pool." I quickly replied, "Nothing more."
