I wish I could time travel
And hold my younger self
I wish I could give her forehead kisses
Tell her how much I love her
How I could be my own mother
I wish I could caress her hair
Help ease her gentle soul
Reassure her doubts
What makes her not feel whole
I would tell her she has beauty
In ways beyond the exterior
That although she is pretty
She is so special in her interior
Her capacity to forgive
Love so selflessly
