Singe sat down on the couch next to Angel, the glow of the sunset fading away as dusk turned to night.

“Hey toots. Any plans tomorrow, I’ve got a killer party with your name on it”

“Naw, get this Angel!” Singe paused, waiting for suspense to build, “I’m going to Heaven tomorrow!”

Angel Dust spat out his drink in surprise, “Good one Singe,” Angel Dust chuckled, “And I got out of my deal with Valentino.”

Vaggie looks up from the other side of the room, her expression distant and hidden, “She’s not kidding, Lucifer got Charlie a meeting with Heaven, and Singe and I are coming with.”

“Shit,” Angel Dust chuckled, this time out of embarrassment.

“Singe, when we’re up there, you need to be careful, you got me?” Vaggie’s voice suddenly turned very serious, “Angels are unpredictable, and dangerous.”

Singe nodded nervously, her voice confident. She doesn’t quite know what to expect, and was panicking internally, but she put on a front to appear cool and casual “Yeah, I’ll be careful.”

Charlie seemed to run down the stairs, as excited as a kid in a candy store, “Hurry up! The portal to Heaven will be opening soon!”

“I’m ready,” Singe stood up and excitedly ran over to Charlie.

“Come on Vaggie.”

Vaggie reluctantly stood up and walked over to Charlie and Singe. Vaggie slipped her hand into Charlie’s as a bright gold portal appeared in front of them.

Singe was the first to walk through, Charlie and Vaggie following shortly behind. Awe was painted on Singe and Charlie’s face, but a glare of annoyance was covering Vaggie’s.

The trio walked up to the pearly gates of Heaven, the golden reflection glaring in Singe’s eyes. It was beautiful, a sight that most Sinners and Hellborn only dream of seeing, let alone being let inside.

“Ugh, it’s all so fancy and tacky,” Vaggie had a disgusted look on her face.

“Come on Vaggie, it’s beautiful!” Charlie seemed to be looking around, trying to take in everything at once

“Yeah Vaggs, people like us could only wish to see this! Make the best of it.”

Vaggie seemed to be relieved at hearing the nickname Singe gave her so long ago, still being used. Her shoulders lowered as some sort of internal stress was relieved.

“Alright,” Vaggie pulls Singe close to her, ruffling her hair playfully, “I guess I can try.”

The bright sun from above shines a bright glow from above, the clean white and gold buildings pierce the sky, the silver clouds here and there cast shadows below, and before Singe knew it, he and his parents were being escorted by a group of guards, through the roads of Heaven to a hotel.

Charlie, Singe, and Vaggie were all sharing a room in the hotel that they were staying in. Singe didn’t mind it, even feeling somewhat relieved being able to be so close to Charlie and Vaggie in Heaven. Singe couldn’t shake the feeling that something was up with Vaggie.

“Why is she so stressed out?” she thought.

Suddenly, Charlie broke the silence, “Come on Vaggie, Emily is taking us to a real zoo, with real animals!”

“I think I’ll stay here, I need a break,” Vaggie sighed as she sat down on the bed, “but hug a koala for me”

Charlie ran out of the room, clearly excited to see real animals, with real fur and fluff. It sure was one of the benefits of Heaven, but a sense of unease washed over Singe.
