Part Fourteen - Redemption

Adam suddenly noticed the approaching airship and the glowing ray cannon. He turned to the airship and with a flick of his wrist, sent a beam of holy light at the airship, instantly vaporizing it, and everything and everyone inside.

There was a flash of yellow. Then black. Singe floated in an empty nothingness. Was she found out? Was her hiding spot compromised? She then saw a faint white light above her, and she was floating upwards towards it. Wait a minute... was this Heaven.

A sharp flash filled Singe's vision, and she stood at a table, in front of two people she quickly recognized. Emily instantly smiled and could hold back a small squeak, while Sera looked scared.

"Where the fuck? Emily?" Singe was confused. As she looked around, she took note of her new halo and wings, then quickly added two and two and, "Am I in Heaven? Does that mean-"

"Singe! I have so many questions. How's Lute doing? How's your family? What's going on down there?" Emily was quick to get up from her seat and hug Singe tightly.

Sera sat in silence, fearful from the fact that a Hellborn demon just showed up in Heaven with a halo and wings. This confirmed her greatest fear, that demons in Hell could be redeemed. She had a very interesting idea, however. She put on a fake-looking smile and addressed Singe.

"Welcome to Heaven, Singe. Could I interest you in a tour? Or perhaps some refreshments?"

"Can I have some water, please?" Singe asked, and instantly, a glass of water appears on the table in front of her, "Thank you."

"So how did you get up here?" Emily was quick to ask more questions, eager to find out how Singe redeemed herself so that she could spread the news to Charlie and Vaggie.

"I was fighting. Against the Exorcists. We we-"

Sera cut Singe off, "Did you say against the Exorcists? We called off the Extermination, what are they doing down there?"

Singe immediately stood up, almost spilling her water, "They're down there trying to destroy the hotel! Adam killed me!"

"Adam did WHAT?!" Sera was instantly enraged, then teleported away, leaving you and Emily alone.

Emily and Singe stood in awkward silence, before Singe spoke up, "So, about that tour?"

"Of course! Follow me!" Emily lead Singe through the building they were in, which turned out to be the courtroom. Her black blood still stained the floor slightly. The memory of Lute slashing out her eye was brought back, but instead of fear, she felt relief, knowing that Lute wasn't subjected to the cruelty of how the Exorcists are treated.

Emily and Singe walked throughout Heaven. Emily pointed out some important landmarks and interesting places to check out. They made their way to the gates of Heaven, "So this is where humans from Earth come when they become a Winner. The gates of Heaven," Emily explained.

Singe paused, seeing a bright portal in the sky, just past the gates. It was the portal the Exorcists used to go to Hell. She flared out her wings, determined to do what she must. Singe took to the skies and flew over the pearly gates and through the portal. Back in Hell, she felt at home.

Singe spotted Adam holding Charlie by her throat. No one was there to go to her aid. A green bolt of light filled the air. Charlie felt herself drop and be caught by someone. She took in a large lung-full of air before opening her eyes and seeing what happened
