She's going insane!

Is she home?

Is she in a room?

Is she persecuted? 

Is she the tormentor?

Was that video with Katniss real?

Had her little hunter hurt her?

Had she warned the rebels about the bombings to come?

Had she let them die?

What was real?

What was not?

Percy had completely split apart.

Her mind was a shattered mess.

Unable to connect which was true and which was false.

All she had remaining was pain.

Pain and agony burning in her blood, through her thoughts, through her life.

13 had hacked into the Capitol mainframe but the signal was being cut off.

No... No that's can't happen, Not only would many volunteers not make it out, Peeta included because the guy that actually knew to fight, Gale, had thought against it so the bread boy took his place, but the victors wouldn't be saved from the grip of the Captiol.

Touching the black ring, no... They needed to be saved.

"Should work, Beetee, put her on." Coin said as the man quickly wheeled over to action a lever.

"He'll be able to see you now, be ready." Heymitch said. Katniss had not yet forgiven him for saving her but what could she do? Stay mad at him forever? No... They needed each other too much.

"Snow?" She called out. Gulping before going on in a stronger tone. "President Snow do you hear me? President Sno--" "Miss Everdeen, I suppose you are not calling to give in your surrender?" The static on the huge screen turned into a clear image of the president's smiling face.

"I never wanted this." Katniss said, voice breaking a little. "I just wanted to go home."

"Don't we all, but what's done is done miss Everdeen. Choices have consequences."

"Please... Set them free and I'll give myself up."

"Oh we are far to far for that miss Everdeen."

"I never wanted this." She repeated.
