(Warning, really short chapter compared to normal.)
"Is this safe?" Katniss asked, really not liking knowing Prim in the same room as Percy, knowing what happened to herself.
"She hasn't been violent with anyone if it doesn't directly involve your image. She might be your sister, but she's the little girl that she almost went into the arena with. She's the little girl who invited her over when she saw the burnt pots in the garden."
Katniss looked at Plutarch.
"What? The districts are observed and Snow had it with your rebellion in the 74th, you were watched."
"Not a surprise." She sighed because, honestly, it was indeed not a surprise. "But you believe it is a good idea for me to go in?" She asked even if she really wanted too.
"Let's say she is passive currently."
That's one way of saying it.
Percy looked drained of all emotions, a blank face of boredom with methodical move as she played chess with Prim, not even the chains tying the cuffs to the walls making sounds she moved so precisely, as robotic, fake, version of her. Something pre-programmed to act in a way with no inner conscience.
"You could have taken off her prosthetic leg to ensure she can't move." Not reaaaaally meaning it but Katniss still said her intrusive thoughts, Plutarch giving a small grin as his side eyed her.
"You know that wouldn't stop her from getting to you if she flips, chains and cuffs were a better idea... And I believe she'd have gotten mad if we did that for a completely different reason then the one that currently gets her to flip out."
She sighed, the chains having enough slack that she wasn't tied down, she could sit up against the headboard and reach her knees in that position, enough leeway to play this board game.
Katniss still didn't like the sight of them even if she knew it was for the safety of all."So... Are you ready?"
Did she really want to see her again?
Yes, more then anything.
But damn... Did this hurt so much...
"No, but let's do it."
