As the sun began to sink lower in the sky, casting a warm golden hue over the park, Joost and me found ourselves standing up, dusting off any lingering patches of grass on our clothes. Joost took a moment to admire me in the fading sunlight, the way it caught my hair and skin, giving me an almost ethereal glow. He couldn't help but think I looked even more beautiful than when he picked me up earlier.

After a few moments of admiring me, Joost offered to walk me home, his tone casual yet sincere. "I'd be happy to walk you home," he said, a hint of protectiveness in his voice. "It's getting late, and I want to make sure you get home safely." I nodded and took his hand "Yeah, I'd like that." I said to him smiling. As I took his hand, Joost interlaced his fingers with mine, relishing the feel of my hand in his. Joost gave my hand a gentle squeeze as he let us out of the park, the quiet crunch of leaves beneath our feet, the only sound between us. Joost glanced over at me form time to time, his gaze admiring and affectionate. The sky had grown darker now, the light from the street lamps casting flickering shadows across our faces.

"You know," Joost mused as we walked, his voice interrupting the comfortable silence between us. "I haven't had such a relaxing day in ages." He paused for a moment, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "And it's all because of you." I smiled at him "Me neither... and it was all because of you." Joost returned the smile, feeling a sense of contentment wash over him. He was happy to hear that I were enjoying myself as much as he was. He looked down at our intertwined hands for a moment, his thumb idly tracing small circles on the back of my hand. "I have to admit," he said, his voice tinged with a hint of vulnerability. "I wasn't expecting this date to go so well, but I'm glad it did." I chuckled "Yeah, I'm glad it went good as well." Joost chuckled along with me. "Today was...perfect." he said. "It really was." Joost's smile softened as he heard the sincerity in my voice. He knew that he agreed with me - the day had been near-perfect in his eyes. We continued walking in comfortable silence for a few moments, the only sounds coming from the crickets chirping in the distance and our footsteps on the pavement.

As we approached my home, Joost felt a pang of sadness that the day was coming to an end. He found himself not wanting to say goodbye just yet, but he knew that he needed to respect my boundaries. We stopped in front of my door, my fingers still interlaced with his. Joost turned to face me, his expression a mixture of contentment and reluctant farewell. "Well," he said, his voice a soft murmur. "I guess this is your stop." I smiled "I guess it is. Thank you for today, I had such a good time." Joost smiled at my words, feeling a warm feeling spread in his chest. He was glad that I had enjoyed the day as much as he had. "I'm glad to hear that," he replied, giving my hand a gentle squeeze. "I had a great time too." He paused for a moment, his gaze searching my face as if trying to commit every little detail to memory. "I truly do mean it when I say I haven't had a day this good in... I don't remember how long." I looked up to him "I'm also glad we broke the first date rule..." I whispered. Joost chuckled lowly, the sound rumbling in his chest. He found my reference to the 'no kissing on the first date' rule endearing.

Joost took a step closer to me, closing the gap between us more. His free hand reached up to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear, his touch gentle and tender. "I'm glad we did too," he murmured, his voice a low rumble. "It was well worth breaking the rule." I smiled up to him and turned around to open my door. Joost watched as I turned around and opened my door, his eyes lingering on my form. He couldn't help but steal one last glance at my face, admiring the way the warm glow of the sun cast shadows across my features. "Goodnight, Angel." He said quietly, his voice tinged with a hint of reluctance. I stepped forward and stood on my tippy toes, giving him a small kiss. It was a quick and chaste gesture. "Goodnight, Joost." I whispered. Joost let out a soft exhale, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Goodnight." He said again. Joost watched as I disappeared into my house, the door closing behind me with a soft click. With a soft sigh, he turned and walked away.
