Here is the chapter you've all been waiting for, smut warning.
Fast forward to the next day.
I sent Joost a text with the time I got home.
"Hey, I'll be home at six, meet me at my place? ❤️"
Joost responded promptly, his message appearing on my screen.
"Sure, sounds good. I can order us some pizza if you want. See you at six. <3"
By the time I got off work and head home, the sun has set, and the streetlights were beginning to flicker on. I walked into my home, kicking off my shoes and took off my jacket. As I walked into the hallway, I smelled food. "Huh?" I said and walked further down the hallway. As I turn the corner into the kitchen, I noticed Joost standing by the stove, working diligently over a pot. I jumped slightly at seeing him "Joost? Hi! Oh my god you scared me." Joost looks up at me as I enter the kitchen, a guilty expression on his face. He quickly places the lid back on the pot he was stirring and turns to face me. "Did Kayla give you a key?" "Um, well...yeah, she might have," he mutters, his hand rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "I hope that's okay?" I walk over to him and give him a welcome kiss. "Of course." I said against his lips.
Joost relaxes into my kiss, his shoulders sagging with relief. He pulls me closer, his arms wrapping around my waist as he returns the kiss. "Good," he says, his voice slightly breathless as he breaks the kiss. "I didn't want to overstep any boundaries." I chuckled "I see you didn't order pizza..." Joost also chuckled, stepping backwards a bit to reveal a pot of homemade pasta simmering on the stove. "Changed my mind," he admitted, a sly grin on his lips. "Figured I could whip something up myself." I smiled at him. "Come on," he says, gesturing for me to sit down at the table. "It's almost ready." He grabs two plates from the cupboard and starts ladling the steaming pasta onto them. The pasta emits a delicious aroma that wafts through the kitchen, making my mouth water. "Oh my god, this smells amazing." Joost beams at my compliment, a satisfied grin on his face. "Thanks. I hope it tastes as good as it smells," he says, placing the plates on the table. He pulls out a chair for me before taking his own seat across from me. "Go ahead, dig in."
The conversation flows easily as we enjoy the meal that Joost prepared. We chat about our day, swapping stories and sharing laughs. The food is delicious, a comforting and hearty meal, the kind that warms you from the inside out.
The empty plates are stacked on the kitchen counter, left to deal with later. Joost and me move towards the couch, its plush cushions inviting us to settle in. As I sat down, Joost put an arm around me and pulled me closer, his body cozy and warm against mine. I nuzzle closer to him "This is nice..." I said as I intertwined our fingers. Joost smiled, his thumb gently tracing circles on the back of my hand. "It is, isn't it?" he murmured, his voice soft and low. He pulls me a bit closer, his body heat seeping through my clothes, a comforting presence. "I could get used to this." He adds, his breath caressing my ear. "Me too..." I whispered. Joost's arm tightens its hold on me. The room falls quiet, the only sound being our gentle breathing.
Joost shifted a bit, his free hand coming up to gently trail along my jawline, fingers tracing a path from my ear down to my chin, gently tilting my face to look at him. His eyes met mine, a mix of affection and desire in their depths. He leaned in, his lips hovering mere inches from mine. "I could stay like this forever." He breathes, his words a soft whisper in the close proximity. "Me too... also... we never continued what we did yesterday." I said as my fingers trailed up his arm. Joost's breath hitches slighty at my touch, his gaze flickering down to my wandering fingers. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips, a mixture of desire and anticipation. "Ah, that," he murmured, his voice slightly hoarse. "We were... interrupted, weren't we?" "We were..." Joost's hand, which had been trailing along my jawline, shifts, his fingers now gently cupping my chin, tilting my face closer to his. "Seems like we have some unfinished business, don't we?" he teased, his voice a low rumble. "We should take care of that." "You don't have to tell me twice..." I whispered against his lips. Joost chuckled at my eagerness, his hand on my chin moving to cup the side of my head, pulling me closer. "Eager, aren't we?" he murmured, his breath ghosting across my lips. "I like it."
