The next morning
I slowly opened my eyes and turned around in the bed. Joost was still asleep, the early morning light filtering through the curtains, casting streaks of soft light across his face. His breathing was slow and steady, his expression peaceful, relaxed in sleep. In the quiet of the morning, he looked almost vulnerable, his usual confident and charming persona replaced by a boyish innocence. I reached up slowly and run my fingers through his hair. Joost's hair was soft under my touch, the strands falling through my fingers like silk. At my touch, he shifted slightly, A small noise escaping his lips as he slowly woke up.
His eyes fluttered open, the usual deep blue now a light shade of oceanic blue in the soft morning light. He blinked slowly, a small smile pulling at the corners of his mouth as he realized I was watching him. "Good morning" I whispered. Joost's smile widened as he heard my voice, the sound of it pulling him out of the last lingering tendrils of sleep. "Good morning." He replied, his voice a drowsy, raspy murmur. He reached out, pulling me closer to him, his arm wrapped around my waist. "Did you sleep well?" He asked. "I slept amazing... you?" Joost let out a soft hum of contentment as I spoke, the feeling of me in his arms filling him with a sense of comfort and warmth. "I slept better that I have in a long time," he murmured, his eyes tracing my face, taking in my features with a sort of quiet admiration. "With you by my side, how could I not?" I chuckled. Joost smiled at the sound of my chuckle, the low, melodic sound sending a wave of warmth through his chest.
He pulled me closer, his hand gently trailing over my body, caressing my skin in a soft, slow motion. "You know, waking up next to you is a view I could get used to." he murmured, his eyes fixed on my face. "Me too..." I mumbled. Joost's smile widened at my mumbled reply, the words sending a jolt of satisfaction through him. He nuzzled against me, his lips finding the sensitive skin at the crook of my neck. "Mmm," he murmured, his breath warm against my skin. "I could definitely get used to this." I chuckled and turned around, to sit on the edge of the bed, stretching out my arms above my head, still naked. Joost's eyes roamed over my naked form as I sat on the edge on the bed, a small smirk playing on his lips. The morning light cast a soft glow over my skin, accentuating the curves of my body. His eyes lingered on the exposed stretch of my back, his gaze appreciating the way my muscles moved under my skin, before slowly sitting up himself, the sheet pooling around his waist.
I walked over to the bathroom, before stopping at the doorway, Joost's gaze followed me. His eyes tracing the line of my body, appreciating the way the light played off my skin. "I'm gonna go take a shower, okay?" Joost chuckled softly. "Do you really need my permission fot that? But yeah, knock yourself out." He said, his voice dripping with an amused, lazy sort of confidence. "I wasn't really asking for permission..." I said and gestured him to join me. Joost's smirk turned into a full-blown grin at my gesture, his eyes sparkling with mischief and excitement. He walked over to where I was standing. "Oh, you didn't?" He teased, his voice low and playful. "Then I guess I have no choice but to accept your invitation then." I chuckled and gave him a small kiss. Joost leaned into the kiss, his hand moving to cup the back of my neck, pulling me closer. The feel of my lips against his was electric, a spark af desire igniting low in his stomach.
He broke the kiss, his gaze locking onto mine, his voice a low, intimate murmur. "Is that an invitation for more than just a shower?" "Ah,ah,ah," I said, waving my finger in front of his face. "No funny business, mister" Joost raised an eyebrow at my finger waving, a pout forming on his lips despite the amused twinkle in his eyes. "No funny business?" He repeated, his voice feigning desappointment. "But where's the fun in that?" His hands went to my hips, his fingers tracing small circles on my skin as he pulled me closer, closing the small gap between us. "You expect me to share a shower with you without trying to have a little fun?" "I uh, I'm a little... uhm sore." I said with a embarrassed chuckle. Joost's expression softened at my words, a hint of guilt flickering across his face. He chuckled softly, his hands still on my hips, his thums still tracing small circles on my skin.
