Lynette POV:

My limbs were frozen, if I were to even move an inch I knew I would be in deep trouble. Dottore is a smart man however, he might've already figured out my presence... Whether he knew or not didn't matter anymore, I had to gain as much information as I possibly could if I were to get out of this mess. My ears then perked up when Dottore opened his mouth to a tired, rushed worker.

"Matterson, I trust you've gathered the supplies needed for this project?"

"Of course, Mr Dottore! They're right here in this box, all packed up tightly."

"Good, good. Now, I'm going to start this project in private."

Just then, I could feel the piercing glare of Dottore's eyes paralyze my body. He knew I was here.

"Ah, before you leave Mr Matterson, could you please transport these boxes in the corner outside this room?"

I breathed a sigh of relief. Perhaps Dottore had a heart and was planning to spare me, or perhaps was planning on testing my skills against his lackeys.

"...Except for the deepest box. That one is quite important."

...I spoke too early. I knew if I stayed in this box for any longer, I would deeply regret. Gasping, I held my hand against my vision and channeled its power within me. I'd have to run the fastest I've ever ran to escape this situation. As I held my breath, I jumped out of the box and sprinted as fast as I possibly could. Suddenly, I felt a needle was shot into my neck in an instant. My head became dizzy, and limbs felt wobbly. My vision was turning dark, and as a last ditch attempt, pulled out my ribbon before everything blacked out.

Dottore POV:

It was entertaining to witness the confidence and aspiration Lynette possessed in hopes to escape the situation. However, unfortunately it seemed like she'd forgotten I am the 2nd of the 11 Fatui Harbingers after all. I am no idiot.

"Dr Dottore! Who was that girl?!"

"Please Matterson, no yelling please, unless you want to be the next victim too?"

"Uh, of course not Dr Dottore!"

"That's better. Now to answer your question, she's a sneaky little weasel who thought she could eavesdrop on us. Now if you would please, exit this room as everything from now on will be highly confidential."

"Yes sir!"

As the man walked out the room, I stared at Lynette's grounded body. Poor girl had to pass out twice, but luckily for her it'll be the last time. I picked up and carried her body to the chamber, in which I locked her arms, torso and legs on metal chains to further prevent her from escaping if she ever woke up.

I wonder when that brother of hers and the pesky traveler will arrive. I know they're on my trail, but if they ever found this location they're no match for me.

"Miss Lynette, I hope you're excited to be the final piece of the puzzle for this experimentation."

Lumine POV:

Everyone was circled around me when I very carefully explained the plan that took more time than needed to complete.

"Alright, so first we must gather knowledge on where this location is. Charlotte, because of your status as a news reporter, I trust that you'll 'interview' as many people as possible on this situation. There seems to be a lot of lackey's, so if anyone disagrees to answer, do whatever you must to get the answer out of them."
