[⭒3rd person POV⭒]
Late in the night, everyone was sleeping peacefully.
Well...everyone except a certain orange and sunny dog.
DogDay had been laying half-awake on the bed most of the night. Everyone else was sleeping, why wasn't he? He groaned quietly and rolled onto his back, his eyes still closed and his mind foggy with muddled thoughts.
He could hear the soft snores of his siblings and mother fluttering through the air before sighing and sitting up. He looked around with half-lidded eyes before slipping off of the bed and heading to the hallway. Maybe the quiet of Dorothy's room would help him sleep.
He walked through the dim hallway before pushing open the door to his older sister's room. Looking around the dark room he huffed and waddled over to the bed before dragging himself up onto the bed and shuffling towards the orange haired teen.
He settled in a small area next to her before sighing and closing his eyes again

About an hour had passed since DogDay had made his way to Dorothy's room. A few owls had made their way to sit on a low hanging branch near the window in Dorothy's room.
They had made small sounds which had made DogDay huff and pad at the bed sheets in his still half-asleep state. However in the dead of night the owls had started to speak louder.
"Hoo!"
"Whu was zat?!" DogDay shot up in the bed, arms flailing around as his head swiveled back and forth before landing on the window. He spotted the owls outside.
"Hoo! Hoo!"
He scrambled to the window and started barking at the owls as he pressed his face and paws against the glass.
Dorothy jolted up as the dog continued to bark at the animals outside, who started to flap their wings and lift off of the branch.
"Who-what—DogDay..?" Dorothy blinked at the blurry orange figure at the edge of her bed pressing his face against the window as he continued to bark. She blinked once more before rubbing her eyes and sighing, "DogDay, quit yer barkin' dude." She murmured as she crawled forward and lifted DogDay up and took him away from the window.
The dog quit barking but continued to growl at the window as Dorothy patted his head. "Calm down, buddy." She muttered with a yawn.
"Dorothy?" Y/N opened the door as dim light filtered into the room. Both the teen and the dog (who continued to growl and glare at the window) looked over at the woman in the doorway as the small figures of all the other critters gathered around her feet.
"Hey, Mom." Dorothy yawned, moving one hand to cover her mouth while the other was still holding DogDay.
"Ah, I see what happened." Y/N blinked with a soft chuckle, "Alright, back to bed guys." She rounded the other critters back to her room, closing the door to her daughter's room, while Dorothy laid back down with DogDay laying on her stomach as she continued to pat his back subconsciously.
There was silence for a bit before DogDay muttered, "Sorry I woke you up..."
Dorothy looked down at DogDay before she shrugged, "Eh, it's fine. Now go to sleep." She murmured, patting DogDay's back and laying her head down on the pillow. DogDay nodded, closing his eyes and sighing before finally drifting off to sleep.

Once you all woke up for real in the morning you all talked about what had happened last night. DogDay got embarrassed and denied that it even happened while both you and Dorothy laughed about it.
