"You guys go ahead while I check in on Lisa," you informed your friends. Tatiana hadn't shown up yet, but the rest of you were prepared to press on with the mission to cleanse Stormterror of its poison.
Paimon seemed surprised. "Huh? But why? Paimon thought we were doing this as a team."
You grinned. "Of course, Buttface, but I need to make sure Lisa got the ingredients she needs to break the seal on me, remember? Who knows when the seal might suddenly activate and blow me up, you know?"
You shuddered at the thought. Though in reality, there was no risk of you spontaneously exploding, because what good would dying do to anyone?
You softly smiled at your friends, trying to dispel their concern. "Don't worry, guys. We'll still tackle Stormterror together. I just need to make sure everything's set with Lisa first."
Paimon floated closer, her expression a mix of skepticism and worry. "But what if something happens to you while we're gone?"
You chuckled reassuringly. "Paimon, you know me. I'm not going to explode out of nowhere. I just want to be extra sure about the seal. Trust me, I'll catch up with you all soon."
With a nod, Aether reluctantly agreed. "Fine, but don't take too long. We'll be waiting."
As your friends' figures grew smaller in the distance, you made your way towards Mondstadt's grand library, a repository of knowledge nestled within the bustling city. The sun cast a warm glow over the cobblestone streets as you made your way through the city square, weaving past merchants and townsfolk going about their daily business.
The library loomed ahead, its ancient stone facade adorned with intricate carvings depicting tales of heroes and legends. Pushing open the heavy wooden doors, you were greeted by the familiar scent of old parchment and ink. The vast shelves stretched high towards the vaulted ceiling, housing countless tomes and scrolls that held the secrets of Teyvat's history.
You spotted Lisa at her usual table, surrounded by piles of books, with her nose buried in a particularly ancient-looking volume. Her violet eyes flickered up as she sensed your approach, a knowing smile playing on her lips.
"Ah, there you are," she greeted, her voice a melodic cadence that echoed softly in the quiet library. "I've been expecting you. Did you come to check on our progress?"
You nodded, taking a seat across from her. "Yes, I need to make sure everything's set for breaking the cryo seal. Paimon's worried I might spontaneously explode or something."
Lisa chuckled lightly, her fingers tracing the edges of the worn book before her. "Paimon does have a vivid imagination, doesn't she? Rest assured, everything is proceeding smoothly. The preparations are complete, and the ritual should proceed without a hitch."
"Is it possible to do it now? The sooner, the better, right?"
"Of course, dear. Please, follow me," Lisa replied, closing the ancient tome with a decisive thud.
