Chapter 18

"Shut up!" The guy shouted as he kicked Diana's cage. She shoved her paw forward, forcing her nails to pierce his pant leg, trapping him. "Let go, you fucking Bitch!" he shouted as he used his free leg to kick the cage. "You're going to regret this!" He kicked the door to the point part of it shoved inward.

Diana used that chance to stick her other paw to push it open even more and wedge herself free. She began clawing at the guy and once he finally fell over she lunged for his neck, sinking her teeth in.

"Diana!" Luke shouted but she was lost to the red haze surrounding her. The need to protect her family and seek revenge clouding her mind.

"Release him now!" A deep voice pierced through the lust of blood as she felt a sharp pain on the back of her neck. She sent out a warning growl but the voice just chuckled. "You asked for it now, Vermin."

"Let go of her!" Jackson shouted as he shook his cage. "What are you doing to her?"

Stop she sent through the link. I'll be fine. Protect Molly and do NOT come looking for me. Luke and his family are coming to rescue you. Go with them and don't come back!

What are you saying? Jackson asked. Dee, you're talking like–

He cut off the link as he watched a needle insert into the scruff of her neck and her eyes go empty. "Your master is going to enjoy hearing about this," the man with the thick gloves chuckled as he slapped her muzzled face and she gave no response back. "Maybe he will finally let me declaw you. Your nails will be a nice addition to my collection." Diana went fully limp, falling to the floor. The man stood over her and looked at the massacre she had created. "Stupid bitch, you will pay for my friend's death dearly," he growled as he grabbed at the back scruff of her neck and dragged her up the stairs. "Your master better let me get some punishment in if he doesn't let me have your nails, maybe I can get your fangs instead."

The door slammed shut behind and a dead silence filled the room. Luke's heart was pounding in his ears. "Molls, you okay?" Jackson whispered.

"No," she whimpered as she trembled. "I didn't mean...I didn't want...I'm so–"

"Hush," Jackson shook his head. "She knew what she was doing. She will be okay."

Get here NOW! Luke shouted as he snapped out of his freeze. She just killed a hunter and they drugged her and dragged her upstairs for her master to punish her for it. Whatever they gave her made it to where she can't fight back.

We're on our way, Luke, North promised as he pressed the tip of his knife into the pad of his finger. Is that why I can no longer read her?

I think so, Luke sent back. I can't read her either but it's not the same as when she blocked me. She was talking like was...just hurry North please.

"Fuck," North mumbled as he relayed what Luke was telling him. Raven pressed further down on the gas pedal as his fists clenched the steering wheel tighter. All the men's minds kept running with different scenarios of what their girl could possibly be enduring. They just had to get there in time, they just had to.

Luke, I want you to inform the others to not engage with the other hunters at all costs. We are about 39 minutes away, Axel said through the link as he looked at the GPS. In honesty by Raven's driving they may arrive a lot sooner but that would give them a little more time to prepare for attacking. A quick glance at Owen told him that he was notifying the king of the updates so reinforcements would be arriving eventually. Although from the way everyone was feeling, it may be too late by the time they arrive. "Just remember we need them alive to talk."

"I'm not promising anything," North growled. "I'm barely able to hold back as it is."

"I understand but we need to know where the other locations are and who all is involved," Axel reminded him. "Dead men keep secrets."

North let out a loud growl but huffed, "I'll try."

"Did anyone else notice the spike in anger and blood lust in Diana?" Sean asked.

"Luke said she killed a hunter," North mumbled. "He didn't say what provoked her to take such actions."

Luke, North called out as he felt the others join the link. Luke, what happened leading to Diana being dragged off by the hunters?

Luke told them what happened to make her snap before sighing softly, I told you, she sees the others here as her family.
