Practice was done pretty quickly. When the boys went to change, I picked up all the balls from the floor and put them where they belong. Our coach helped me with the net and mopping the floor. As soon as the work was done, I started waiting for Kuroo and Kenma to go home.
When they walked out, both were looking pretty exhausted. I just couldn't hold my laughter back, especially seeing Kuroo like this—he normally isn't that exhausted after such training. "How much sleep did you guys get last night? You're usually not this tired, especially you, Kuroo," I said mockingly. He looked at me a little flustered, rubbing his neck. He leaned his head towards me and said, "Well, I was excited to see you all again, and of course, I was excited for volleyball."
We had a pretty chill talk on the way to my apartment. When we reached my place, I asked them, "Hey, do you guys want to stay over a bit? I have nothing else to do." They looked at each other, and Kuroo said he would love to, while Kenma just nodded. Normally, we don't meet often apart from school and practice, but in the last three weeks, we've done more things outside of school. I've known Kenma and Kuroo since middle school—not well, but I knew who they were. I'm very happy to have befriended them.
We went inside and ordered some food using my phone. We all put some money together to pay. While we were waiting, we talked about our first school day. Kenma and I laughed about how boring our classes were and told Kuroo what we talked about in math. We don't like to admit it, but we love, like really LOVE, to gossip and inform Kuroo later about it. Today, we heard something about a classmate. We heard she slept with a boy we really hate. "I don't know about you, Kenma, but I did not understand anything in math, even when we tried listening," I laughed frustrated. "Yeah, me too, but I don't care about it until we have exams," Kenma said, shrugging his shoulders. "What are you learning? Maybe I can help you out Y/N. Kenma, I could tutor you too. You shouldn't study last minute," Kuroo said, smirking and looking directly into my eyes before he added, "But I wouldn't mind spending some time alone with you, Y/N." I felt my face heat up. His smirk grew after that sentence. But I have to say, his smile was as beautiful as his eyes, in which I could get lost for literally hours. "We are learning something about power laws as well as root laws and logarithm laws. I don't really know," Kenma answered, I didn't really listening to Kenma because I was staring at Kuroo. I mean, who could blame me for that? Kenma was playing a mobile game while we all listened to music.
As soon as the food came, Kuroo asked curiously, "Did your parents show up during the holidays?" His tone was clearly filled with concern. "No, just one message replying to my certificate from last year and a little money for the holidays. And not to forget, they paid the rent for the next three months," I said sarcastically. I was actually quite bothered, knowing my parents didn't bother calling me or anything, but well, never mind. "I don't understand why they are like that, it really makes me kind of angry. You are only 16 and have to pay for your own food," Kuroo said, clenching his jaw. "If something troubles you, you can always talk to us" Kenma said, shooting Kuroo a look. Meanwhile, Kuroo only nodded while stuffing his mouth full of food. It's kind of funny because he can't even talk with his mouth stuffed like that. "That's very nice of you, but I am fine, really, it doesn't bother me that much." We all ate our food and laughed a lot while talking.
After eating, Kenma and Kuroo decided to go because of school tomorrow. I waved them goodbye and went to take a shower. While in the shower, I reflected on my whole day, as always. I think today was very amusing. I noticed my thoughts about Kuroo kind of changed. I never really thought of him in detail like today. But I just washed those thoughts away as I got out of the shower and changed into pajamas. My bed was very comfy after the long shower. I just scrolled on Instagram a bit before going to sleep.
