Chapter 6

I heard loud beeping as I slowly began to wake up. I looked at the clock, it was 5 a.m. Normally, I get up at 6 a.m., but I needed to be at school earlier so I wouldn't miss the bus. I checked my phone and wondered when Kuroo and Kenma would be here. Usually, they arrive around 7, but the timing would be different today. I decided to ask Kuroo.

Me: When will you guys be at my door?

Kuroo: I guess at 6, so in an hour, is that fine? :)

Me: Yeahhh completely, I will be ready ;)

Kuroo: Okayy see you then

Me: yess, see you

Well, then I have to get ready now. I started by taking a shower. I forgot to shower yesterday. Oops... oh well, never mind. In the shower, I thought about whether I had really packed everything I needed. But to be honest, I think I did, and even if not, there are grocery stores everywhere. I washed my hair and got out of the shower, then I put on some clothes—my uniform, to be exact. I brushed my teeth, walked back to my bedroom, and put on some makeup, as always. I remembered to put my shampoo in the bag as well. We were about to drive a long time, almost three hours or less. Karasuno has to drive five hours, we are so lucky. I was thinking about asking Kuroo or Kenma to sit beside them, but maybe they also want to sit next to each other. It doesn't hurt to ask, so why not? I rechecked if everything was in the bag and looked over my apartment to see if there was any work left. Luckily, everything was done. I sat down on the couch and waited for Kuroo and Kenma to arrive. When I heard a knocking, I knew it was them. I stood up, got my bag and my Nekoma jacket, and went to open the door. They both looked at me, and Kenma asked if I had everything and if we could go. I put my shoes on and locked my door, checking afterward to make sure it was really locked. Then we started to go.

On our way, I asked, "Hey guys, I wanted to ask how we will sit on the bus? I don't really know where and next to whom I want to sit."

"Y/N, let's sit together so we can watch some anime. Kuroo, you can sit behind us with someone so you can also see something through the seats," Kenma said confidently. Kuroo just nodded, and I was happy to have a seating partner. The rest of the walk, we talked a lot about what we packed and about yesterday.

As we arrived, we saw some of the volleyball players on our team and the coaches. I greeted everyone nicely, and we waited for the other teammates. „Oh I almost forgot, I have something from you Y/N!" Kuroo said smilling, what could it be? My mind was filled with ideas. „Its a bento box for you, its filled with all the things you like." he said, holding a box. I felt my heart and face warm up. „Thats so sweet, I never knew someone who is actually thinking about me in that way. Thank you!" I just exclaimed smilling into his eyes. When everyone arrived, it didn't take long for the bus to show up. Kenma and I sat in front of Kuroo and Yaku, and we stored our luggage above our heads where it should be. We couldn't decide which anime to watch, we were thinking about Jujutsu Kaisen, Dr. Stone, and Chainsaw Man. We ended up letting Kuroo decide, and as you might expect, he chose Dr. Stone—he really likes chemistry. In the two hours we watched, we almost reached the last episode of season 1. It was really interesting and funny, especially when Kuroo made some jokes. The last hour, everyone was extremely excited, and Lev took out a music box. He played some music, and everyone started singing. It was pretty amusing to hear them sing because they are all really bad at it, but I guess you can't be good at everything. I was laughing with Kuroo, Kenma, and Yaku the whole time. When we arrived at our destination, the music got quieter, and everyone packed their things and headed out. It was pretty hot here, so I took my jacket off. Meanwhile, I saw the other teams. One team, Fukurodani, we already knew due to training matches. The other teams were new, especially Karasuno. I knew we had history with them, but I didn't know who they were. There was a really, like really small player with orange hair. Maybe a libero? I couldn't really think of him in another position.

All the teams went to stand in front of each other, and the captains introduced everyone. When it came to me, Kuroo said, "And this is our lovely manager!" I couldn't help but smile. It turned out that the small orange-haired boy is a middle blocker, which actually surprised me, but they all seemed to be pretty nice. My eyes wandered to their managers. I knew from Nekomata that we managers have to prepare the meals or better help in making them and support our teams. I think I should introduce myself to them. I hope we become friends.
